Title: Pope Leo XIV
Post by: K1 Lover on May 08, 2025, 01:01:51 PM
Cardinal Robert Prevost was just elected as the first American pope in history. And perhaps even more notably, he's also a Villanova alum.

Could this be a game-changer for the Big East?

SEC.  It just means more.
ACC.  ACComplish Greatness.
Big Ten. Dream Big.

Big East.  Basketball is our religion.   ;D

Very cool on many factors.  May God bless Pope Leo XIV.

He also grew up in Dolton, Il. (a South suburb of Chicago) and was part of St. Mary of the Assumption Parish.

Just widens the gap between Creighton and Marquette, imo

Did they get him in the portal? That's the only way you get someone who's any good.

Doubt it. He has his Doctorate from the Vatican, and lived in Peru as long as he lived in US., and is a citizen pf Peru, also. Could be a game changer for the Peruvian soccer team.

Cubs and Bears fan, as well.  Excellent choice.

Unfortunately, the Bulls are beyond saving.

I'd like it better if he was true to his roots and a Sox fan, but we get dissed again..

If he was a Sox fan, he would have taken the name of Jude-patron saint of hopeless cases.

People from Chicago usually hate the Cardinals.
