Marquette University men's basketball player Stevie Mitchell has been named to the 2024-25 Academic All-America® Men's Basketball Team, as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), announced Tuesday.
Mitchell (First Team), who was a third team honoree in 2023-24, is just the third men's basketball player (Marc Marotta and Bill Neary) to be honored at least twice and the 14th student-athlete in Marquette history to earn recognition by CSC on more than one occasion.
Mitchell, the BIG EAST Scholar-Athlete of the Year, owns a 3.974 grade-point average with a double major in finance and information systems and was selected for Alpha Sigma Nu-Spring 2025, which honors students from Jesuit colleges who distinguish themselves in scholarship, loyalty and service. In January, he was accepted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business students
Mitchell was also recently named to the 2025 Poets&Quants Best and Brightest Business Majors list. The list honors the 100 most accomplished senior undergraduate business majors in the country, as determined by a Poets&Quants selection committee. The list honors undergraduate students who excel in the classroom, extracurricular activities and service. This is the first time that a Marquette student has ever qualified for the list in its 10 years of publication.
