They've got 4 games for sure at a minimum (2 regular season, 1 BEast tourney, 1 NCAA tourney). They could have a lot more if they catch fire and get back on track.
My heart says they're gonna get hot and finally get that deep run we've all been wishing for since the Buzz and Crean years.
But from what I've been seeing lately my gut says this could end tragically 0 - 4.
Wishing/hoping for the best, preparing mentally for the worst.

If it's 1-3 and we're still playing, I'm happy. Maybe not in the meantime.
1-1 this week, Make BET Final and lose to SJU or UConn.
Sweet 16.

Sorry, no poll is legit w/o Arby's
I voted with wisblue and put 0-4
0-4. Home stretch collapse is complete when Joplin and Ben Gold shoot us out of both tourney games.

What rating did
you get Rocky?
I'm already looking ahead toward next season and saying 0-36.
Weird but interesting poll. Takes into account various scenarios.
I'll try suppress my pie in the sky tendencies and say 3-1 and still playing in BET
I predict MU will have more than 4 more games.
Anything but 4-0 is a wojo projo.

Long before most on this board had JB on their radar.
0 - 4 in play

Don't hate.
I voted 1 - 3.
I think they win the SJ home game or squeak by a 1st round game.
1-3. St John's is a must win, Xavier will clean the floor with Marq, and first round win, second round exit. Overall pretty typical Marq March, this is easy!

Why is SJU a must win?
Also, that'd make MU's record in their "next 4" (prior to tonight's game) 2-2. So apparently math is not as easy as the "typical Marq March."

if we beat st johns 2-2. I don't expect it, so 1-3. 0-2 heading into the dance, we're getting close to that 8 seed I fear

Didn't you say SJU is a must win? So you don't expect a win there, then we don't even dance.
St. John's is senior day so the ritual of senior players giving corsages to their mothers will make this team unbeatable- at least according to Dodd's every time Marquette loses to some team on their senior day.

I think st johns is needed otherwise we're getting close to the 8 seed, assuming Xavier beats us. 8 seed means playing an sec school second round, which means loss. If we can steal one against st johns that gives Marq a better shot at making the sweet 16. The way we're shooting right now tho, eeeck

Stop it, pay attention.
6 seed at worst
Smacking St.J is needed from a confidence standpoint.
We should really enjoy that we kicked the crap out of SH, Providence, and GT. Especially the GT thumping as it very likely may be the last win of the season.

Are you the poster who said we may have seen our last win of the season PRIOR to kicking the crap out of those 3 teams?

I am the one that said likely 3-7 to finish the season. So it may wind up 4-6 (assuming STJ loss) but I did not predict Sorber would be out for GT...

0 - 4 voters looking like realists and not whack-a-doo fanbois who didn't see another MU team peaking way too early.

Still an weirdly interesting poll. it won't take us into March Madness I think. I see us winning at least 1 in BET. we're playing decent.

Come on - it was obvious this team was fine and just needed to hit thier wide open shots.

Decent..now that is an interesting description.

It's true. Two tough losses for sure. We could play better for sure. But we played decent in both.
I've been as down on the team as anyone going all the way back to early/mid January, but if someone can't acknowledge that we've played pretty well in these last two, they are beyond rational thought. Sometimes the other team just has a better day, or gets the right bounce at the right time. We are playing light years better than in late January and most of February.
Thread bump for
@wadesworld Congrats to the 21 (including myself) who were correct with the 1 - 3 record vote.
We win NOTHING other than knowing we are complete realists on who and what this team is.
We look forward to the post season knowing that anything more than 1 win is an over achievement that we'll be proud of for this underwhelming 2nd half of the season team!

Marquette always plays well. Unless they don't. But even then, they mostly play well. Unless they don't. Then they very rarely play well. But usually they play well more often than rarely.
Well, they play.
We have to get back to challenging every pass. And Shaka's teams seem to do better when the scores are higher. Some of it is natural but Marquette averages about 80 points on average in their wins and in the upper 60s on average in their losses.
Did the math. Again some of this is natural but
In Marquette Wins Marquette averaged 82 points rounded to the nearest point.
In Marquette Losses Marquette averaged 67 points rounded. to the nearest point.
Marquette plays better in general in higher scoring games.

Obviously MU wins when making 3's like 1st half yesterday.
