Title: 26/98 & 29/102 = PAIN
Post by: Vander Blue Man Group on February 21, 2025, 09:11:53 PM
Above are Kam and Jop from 3 in conference play.

Kam is at 26.5%

Jop is at 28.4%. Take out the Depaul game at Wintrust and Jop is 24.7%.

Combined they are at 27.5%.

Kam from 3 in his career prior to this season:  39.2%, 36%, 40.6%

Jop from 3 prior in his career prior to this season: 28.8%, 39.9%, 35.5%.

We knew it was bad but these numbers are eye-opening.  So when two of your senior leaders and best players that have always been pretty good from deep completely go in the toilet, it's probably difficult to find answers when your offense that has always generated really good shots is still generating really good shots.

Yup.  If they were hitting 3's at the level they did their first 3 seasons, this season would probably be going better.

Or...are defenses doing exactly what they should?  On the broadcast they mentioned Marquette had nobody inside.

They're missing wide open looks.
