Used to care to a lot about seed all year until the 3 game lose streak and this game. It doesn't matter.. 3 seed 7 seed. This team is either gonna flip a switch and maybe make a run or flame out in round one.
I'd say it matters in the sense that you want an easier path. But the only thing that really matters is that they find some lineup combinations that work.
In a way, I don't mind being a lower seed like a 6 or 7. Less embarrassing than getting blown out by a 13 seed or something.
Let's get in the tournament.
Better to be a 6 than 7-11.

Amen. Sad that's what we're hoping for but feels realistic at this point.

We could lose every remaining game and be in the tournament

The way we're playing we could very well test that theory.

There is no switch to flip, so it is the latter
Only way this team is doing anything is if Kam pulls a Kenna Walker like performance in march.....not holding my breath

But what about Kenna?
On
Our secret weapon Ramsey could break out for the tourney.
No.
It matters. I'd much rather be a 6/7 than a 4/5 in terms of getting past the S16.
There are 6 teams that are truly elite, 1-seed in any other year teams: Auburn, Alabama, Duke, Florida, Tennessee, & Houston. I'd like to avoid them as long as possible, which means being in a 3/6 or 2/7 pod is ideal.
I also think the 10/11 seeds are surprisingly weak this year, whereas there are some solid 12/13 teams. I'm more afraid of a UCSD, Drake, McNeese, Yale, Arkansas State than I am a Baylor, SDSU, Wake, Texas type you'll find on the bubble.
If we don't get a top 4 seed it doesn't matter much.
Most worried about BET seed for now. Really want the 2/3 game with StJ and UCONN as the 1/4.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I'd rather player a mid major 12 seed than Ohio State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Nebraska.

I guess I don't know why we should be worried about any of those teams. And if we can't beat them, may as well end it early and free up our time.

I'm not worried, just would prefer playing a mid major.
Any high major team is going to have the size, length, talent to matchup with us. Mid majors probably not.

Except Dayton, aina

I'd love to play them again. Sign me up for that rematch. On a side note, of the 11 seed high major types I wouldn't mind playing Wake Forest, but hoping for a specific opponent is a dangerous game.
You bet, I have my tomatoes potted and watered in my sunroom ready to plant in late April or early May.

In all honesty, if we can't get a 2/3 seed. I'd rather be a 6.
This all feels like cope.
This thread may be one of the saddest in Scoop history.
In any other context, 20 win season, ranked in the top 20 all season, top 5 at one point, but everyone (rightly) is sitting down at Arby's enjoying a beef n cheddar because we know what's coming, and no one COLE nagging.
Just playing out the string. 😐

Always better to be the higher seed with one exception- 11 better than a 10.
