Title: Ten
Post by: Dish on February 17, 2025, 05:23:56 PM
10 years today for my son Bradley's stem cell transplant, his "re-birthday". I get messages every now and then asking how he is doing, and he's doing amazing (both from a health perspective, and in school/sports). His twin sister (who donated her stem cells to him) is equally doing amazing in both school/health.

I'll never forget the day after he was diagnosed, being in a world of shock/despair, and posting on here asking if anyone knew anything about leukemia. You guys/gals definitely provided a young dad with thoughts/prayers/donations that our family needed, and quite frankly, would not have gotten through this without all of your guys help. I'm as guilty as anyone on here of saying stupid stuff, and thinking "it's just a message board", but you all did great things for us, and we are forever grateful.

Cheers,
Dish

Great news. Saw the post on Facebook. Won't lie, don't love one of the sweatshirts  ;) . But that's incredible news. Cancer sucks in so many ways. Glad you have a couple of tough kids.

Yeah, he loves ND (doesn't get it from me). I shook my head when he said he wanted to ride with that hoodie today.

Nothing like answered prayers to inspire us all. I'll keep praying that your children will continue to have God's blessings.

It takes a lot to make this grumpy old man cry. But not going to to lie, I had a few tears in my eyes reading your post. Great to hear the awesome update!

That's such fantastic news, Dish! I hope Bradley enjoys this occasion almost as much as he enjoys the twenty year re-birthday, and thirty years, and...

Honestly, it's stories like this that remind you how much support really makes a difference. I'm sure it's been a long journey, but it's great to see them both thriving. You must be so proud.
