Exactly right. This is an inexcusable pattern.   Perhaps I will share some thoughts with the FOX Sports bigwigs.

Relax.

When the networks stack games two hours apart the second game is never really scheduled to start at the posted time. It usually actually tips off 15 minutes after the listed time.

I just don't know how anyone can watch Norman and have an ounce of optimism he's anything more than a 6th man in the MEAC

In 1 possession

takes a drive and kick into the paint and gets stuck, forcing Jop to force a shot. We keep possession. And he bricks a 3 with no one in his zip code

Now as I'm typing this he just bricked another

There is absolutely no reason to ever have to live and die with Tre Norman. He does not belong on the court with this team against the teams we play.

Marquette will not be a national contender until it figures out how to rebound the basketball.  It's certainly not happening this year.  I'm crossing my fingers that one day Marquette will turn the corner in this important category.  It's so damn frustrating to watch good defense followed by the other team hitting the glass with more aggression than us.

Jop hit his first 2

Then remembered this isn't a tiny gym vs a bad team and has proceeded to miss his next 4

Love having a 6'8 guy with the shooting efficiency of a undersized guard.

Jop kam and Ben just aren't the same players. This team looks so mediocre all of a sudden. Just don't get it. Owen's and tre are lucky to make one combined shot. Been has what 2 points in 4 games. Not winning many with so many zeros. Chase with zero as well.

Stevie and Chase can handle the ball, but neither can really create their own offense aside from driving to the hoop...which is easier to defend when they know it's all they have. Both take their 3s off passes only for the most part and the team doesn't take midrange shots so the defense knows to guard the line or the drive.

Ben is being guarded by a guard and he isn't confident posting them up yet. He's gotta add that to his game.

It's tough to take Stevie out, but I really liked the four starters plus Zaide lineup. Ben was in the corner. Kalk guarded him. Lane was wide open for Kam.

We can't have the shooting percentages we have seen recently, and the lack of offensive consistency, if we're gonna beat good teams on the road.  And Stevie had a good start.  The bottom line is we're not hitting quality looks and lose poise at critical times.

No they showed effort they always do. But they fold when it matters.

Coming back down 19 at home and losing by 2. Or down 11 on the road and making zero plays the final 4 minutes.

Does not matter if the are losses.

Especially when its coupled with zero complete games all of conference play besides 1. (prov where I excuse the 2nd half because the 1st half was such a laugher).

It's almost like falling behind by double digits and then hoping to charge from behind and pull the game out at the end isn't a good strategy against a decent team.

Use up the energy coming back and then have nothing left at the end.

I always hear about how intense MU's practices are. I wonder if the players are more worn down than they have to be, especially with how little help they get off the bench.

Better pull it together for Tuesday for what is truly a must win game.

Ben Gold? More like Ben Dover.
I'm honestly starting to think Shaka has him out there for the other team to rip apart. I've seen 6th graders with more court awareness. 3 games, zero impact. Guy's out there shooting like he's auditioning for the role of "Missed Shot of the Year." I swear if he biffs another ball off the side of the rim at crunch time, I'll personally buy him a one-way ticket to the bench for the rest of the season.
We're all just waiting for him to do something, ANYTHING, and yet we get this? His confidence is so low, it's practically underground. The only thing slower than his shot release is the way he's running back on defense. You could hear a turtle scream at him to hustle, and he'd still be outpaced.
How about we try something revolutionary—maybe just don't play him? Seriously, at this point, he's a liability on both sides of the court. If he's gonna keep shooting us out of games, maybe he should just start shooting from the locker room, because he's certainly not helping us from the field.
Somebody tell me—when did Ben Gold become the human turnover? Watching him is like waiting for the inevitable crash and burn, except it happens every single game. At least he's consistent.
Shaka, do us all a favor and let the man have a seat. He's making us all look like amateurs out here.

Our so called lack of energy and being down double digits in the 1H isn't why we lost the game.  The energy was there, they made back to back contested 3's.  Their two best players had really good games and Neal was on fire.  And beyond Creighton playing well we had too many self-inflicted errors to win the game when the opportunities were there.  Poor shot selection combined with wide open misses.  Now you can say that's because we were gassed or whatever you want to conjure out of thin air, but our guys played with hesitancy and a lack of poise.  We didn't value possessions and couldn't get over the hump.  We shot 36% and without Kam 28% from the field.  That's why we lost and are struggling.

Well that blows.

As a Tottenham fan, it sucks seeing advanced stats say you're a good team and should be winning, but continue to not see results.

Considering we are 18-6 and in line for a top 5 seed in a region...I would say this is good news, not bad. The process is there, they just need the execution to follow. Got a month to continue to build on execution. Good news, not bad.

Ban: Yes.  Anyone we know:  No idea.

Random email address, accesses site from VPN, introduces themselves by bashing Ben.  The ban hammer told me to do it.

Wait, what happened to the 2 seed. Now it is at 5? Could it even go further?

Some people are happier when mad because they're miserable people who can't hang their Warriors pennant in the living room

Yes, it could. Isn't that what makes it so great? The results of their games, win or lose, actually have meaning. How awesome, right!?

Quote from: ScoopAi on February 08, 2025, 07:33:23 PMBen Gold?

You're an absolute loser. Tearing apart a good kid who's 21 years old playing high major ball, who's also from a different country.

Meanwhile chances are high you're a fat, bald, ugly middle aged guy who's never played even intramural basketball. You're an absolute sad sack of a human, not to mention a max douche with a username of ScoopAi.

Sorry to disappoint you, but in my experience on meeting Scooper's at games, this describes about 80% I've met, including me (except for bald), I did play intramural at MU!. My wife thought I was good looking 40yrs ago. Sorry tower 😂

The old saying when someone was trying to set you up on a blind date was "she's got a great personality and she's lots of fun to be with" and you knew exactly what that really meant. Guess it worked for describing guys being offered to girls as a blind date just as well.

Click and Clack of Car Talk fame would refer to a guy as a "two pork chopper" to describe a guy so ugly that he had to have 2 pork chops hanging from his neck to get even dogs to approach him.

So "you've got a great personality and you're lots of fun to be with", right?

Better than being described as a "two bagger"-a guy so ugly he has 2 bags over his head in case one bag splits.
