Was Stevie most of the game, but Kam came up big down the stretch so I'll go with him.
Or Kalk. Most overrated player I can remember.
Stevie- 3 out of 4 games I think.
Ramsey
Stevie
Kam was huge when it mattered most. He's the SOTG.
Great effort from Stevie and huge three from Jop late to seal the deal.
Great team win.
Stevie was amazing but gotta to Kam.
22/5/9
Stevie half one.
Kam half two.
Stevie for pissing Kalk off enough to get him talking.
Kam for icing it.
Lean Kam.
It's probably Kam or Stevie, but Jop deserves a mention. After Creighton's run, he made some great plays on both ends of the floor to help MU regain control. Plus the final 3 to put the game out of reach.
Stevie.
Kam is still a huge funk (for his standards). Stevie lead the charge during the massive run to get us back from down 8 to up 15.
Stevie.

But it would be outrageous if a guy averaging 26 ppg and shooting over 50% from 3 won BEPOY over our guy that's in a "huge funk."
This one is tough but I'll go with Stewie
Stevie Mitchell
Honorable Mention
Kameron Jones
Tough choice. I'll go with Kam.
Stevie
Stevie, though he kinda ran of of gas down the stretch.
Stevie. Tough call. Truly our 3 seniors were all studs, and all made huge plays that sealed the win. Jop really had big impact during the last 5ish minutes.
Kam. Led in points, rebounds and assists.

Rightfully so. That kid played his heart out tonight. Didn't think Stevie could dig any deeper than we've already seen but tonight he took it one more level. A Warrior if there ever was one.
Stevie
Can't argue with anyone but Joplin this time...they showed his Ma ya'll !
Thought it was a Stevie no-brainer at one point. He cooled off late, and Kam took over.
But Kam sealing it wouldn't have been possible without what Stevie did earlier. What tips it for me is what happened when Stevie sat.
I'm going with the son of the lady that drilled a three.
Stevie
Ashworth's shot selection (Stevie)
Pretty easy Stevie for me, despite missing several open 3s in the 2H and Kameron's 22/9/5.
He was amazing in the 1H, and he was far and away the best with regards to EGBs.
He has 3 box score steals, but he accounted for several additional extra possessions for Marquette.
Again, much like he has in many recent games, the second he came back in as the game got closer he was an immediate difference maker on the defensive end.
This teams heart and soul is its defensive intensity, and Thievie is the beat of that heart when the EKG needs the biggest spike.
You could say he's the EGB of the EKG, amirite?

Agreed Dr.V.
Kam by a neck over Stevie.
Jop with big time honorable mention.
Tony Smith went Co SOTG with Stevie and Cam / hard to disagree...
We need a bit more balance. Chase is too good of a player to take 4 shots. I get he had some foul trouble but I'd like to try and get him buckets attacking the rim.

Thievie. Love it, Doctor V. Wish I'd thought of it.
No SOTG when MU doesn't cover
Steve Mitchell.

It's hard to attack the rim with a guy like Kalkbrenner in the lane. Only Kam (in the 2nd half) challenged him by shooting. Understandably.
And MU won.

No doubt. But we still got anything we wanted when we kicked and reversed the rock.
Stevie was great, but it was Kam. Just put so much pressure on the defense. If Stevie knocks down a couple more of those wide open threes, it's him, but once Kam came alive, he made the game his.
Also passed Wes Matthews, Tony Smith, Brian Wardle, & Travis Diener on the all time scoring list tonight.

Agreed.
Because he is still posting 22, 9, and 5s while in that funk for a borderline top 5 team.

How did they beat the so-called rim protector?

This.
Stevie set the tone and was a defensive force whenever he was in the game, so he'd be a fine choice too. But Kam controlled the entire second half. Finished 22-9-5-2 with only 2 turnovers in 37 minutes. Total stud.
Stevie. He was on Ashworth most of the night. That 1/13 3P shooting might didn't just happen. That was all Stevie.
Kam a close second for the clear best statline.
Honorable mentions to Jop and Ben. Jop made huge plays down the stretch. Been frustrated Kalkbrenner into a bad shooting night

Agree. Kam passed Tony Smith on MU scoring list tonight. Shaka post game said Kam does not get the respect he deserves from the officials sometimes. He said Kam had his C+ game but was awesome. Shaka seemed to mention Kam and his 22/9/5 mostly from what I heard. But am fine with either Kam or Stevie and his great 1st half and defense all game.
Steve that sonuva Mitch
Kam
HM for Joplin 3 and other playnear the end
#4
Kam by a nose over Stevie.
Kam.
Special shoutout to David Joplin's mom for a great National Anthem. I thought the Mom's Night was super cool.

They did showed Stevie's mom canning a three-pointer.
I re-watched the last 10 minutes or so, and wow Joplin played well on both ends.
Sticking with Kam, though.

Great promotion. So much fun!
Kudos to MU marketing. They take enough arrows. Well done.
Kam was very good after his 0-6 start, added 9 rebounds and 5 assists, and closed it out for us. I'll roll with him. Stevie a close 2nd. Jop had a great game too and has played within himself since BE play started. Getting better and more confident on drives and finishing around the hoop.

Per Willard they had their heads up their rectum. They rectified that.
Jop on the spot-everything except his dribbling
Said earlier was fine with Kam or Stevie. Upon further review agree with the choice of Stevie on this one.
