I resolved to stop being a smartass. Already gave it up.
Crickets.
A fool's errand.

Be nice to Muggsy, the little twerp.
To anybody I offended this year:
Work on yourself so I don't have to do it again in 2025
Genuinely appreciate family.
2024 saw me & my wife lose:
My sister
My great aunt (fill in grandmother)
Her aunt
Her grandmother
Her cousin
And gain a daughter.
All that I can take away from that is to make it a point to appreciate those I have a bit more.

Sorry for your losses, as I get older the losses hit harder. Super big congratulations on your daughter!!
The losses might continue to mount, but just remember there are more of Us than there are of them....
I met my resolution today - I vowed to actually take the effort and cancel my Flow Sports subscription in January.

What would you do without D3 woman's track meets?
On a real note, My resolution is to start journaling. I've talked to a number of peers and friends that I respect who do it. But I'm struggling to get rolling, any one do it that has tips? I don't want to work off corny prompts or mechanical "this is what I ate and worked on today"
It is OK to start with that. More will occur to you the more often you do it.

There are plenty of things I don't love about getting older. But the single worst thing is losing loved ones. Each one is a kick to the gut and an arrow through the heart.
Condolences on your losses.
Meanwhile, congrats on gaining a daughter! Hope you have a great 2025.

Condolences on your losses. I lost one of my sisters many years ago. My niece and nephew were young children. As you said so well....appreciate those we still have even more.
