Title: National Marquette Day question
Post by: pbiflyer on December 13, 2024, 09:40:39 AM
Taking little pbiflyer to NMD to celebrate her birthday. Figured an easy christmas present would be some MU swag.
Is there going to be a color to wear that day that has been announced?

The last few years they have attempted a "stripeout" for the game. Depending on section, navy, gold, or baby blue. This has been the map for the last two.

The only logical solution is to buy her all three colors. And probably a white...just to be safe.

Yeah, I figured we could go the day before to the spirit shop in a worst case scenario. But afraid the appropriate color would be sold out.
According to the chart, it would be gold for our seats.

I will gladly take the other two off of your hands.   ;D

She won't need that many MU shirts at her Godless public university.

Really hoping my in-laws come through with the Nike gold quarter zip I asked for to ensure I have every part of the stripe out covered.

Every year before this one, I've been in a championship blue section, making it a perfect occasion for my Marquette Style blazer. Now I'm in navy. Going to be a tough decision if I stick with the blazer over a navy shirt or just go navy sweatshirt.

You need to get a DWade Final Four style navy blazer.

Wear T shirts. Buy all 3 colors and wear them all, taking off the one(s) that are not correct for your seat.

Be a one person stripe out. Being the middle of winter, I probably wouldn't even need the white t-shirt.

I would think you'd be pretty safe with the stripe out map above.  I've been in the same section since the Fiserv opened, and it's been gold every year.

Easy choice.  Shirt off and paint your chest navy blue.

Wear your pep band colored rugby shirt and point your phone at cheerleaders and the dance team.

Mine have been gone for years, but I heard a rumor one year that they thought about giving me a one-way ticket to Outer Mongolia.

I won the lottery. Also might have convinced my wife that taking her dad out to the marquette/xavier game while we are in town for the holidays is a good present to give him
