I will be at the game with my kids who went to UD. I learned that UD students have finals this week and have to be out of their dorms at noon on Saturday. They apparently didn't have the sense to do what MU has in the past and bump dorm closure back a day to make it easier for people staying for the game. I'm sure it will still be a fired up crowd, but I know of several students who were bummed they won't be around to attend.
Who else is going?
I'll be there. There's a group of 4 of us driving down from Detroit. We'll be hanging with some UD friends also, but Kolek em
I avoid Ohio like the plague.
Be safe, folks.
Only good thing about Daytonnis one year Scribble Jam had to be moved from Cinci and Dayton stepped up
I assume Fieldhouse will be there. With as much as he has posted here, I think it is only right that he shows up in Marquette gear.
I'll be there with my two current MU students and some Dayton alums.
Can someone start a UD Safety alerts thread? Seems like a lot of people going to da big city this weekend.
Anyone see the line for this game? I've gone to draft kings, Fox, ESPN and it doesn't seem to be out yet.

Maybe waiting on official player availability? Rumors about Sean?
I assume the UDFlyer weirdo has seats with an obstructed view
Should be a fun game to attend. From what I've gathered online, there's a LOT of hype on Dayton's end.
This is their biggest game since they hosted (and upset) #6 Pitt, which was a Big East team at the time. And if I'm not mistaken, one of the members of that 2007 Dayton team will be in attendance for this game. The Flyers will also be sporting their "Chapel Blue" jerseys which they save for special occasions and are currently undefeated in, granted they only debuted the uniform two years ago.
I wonder if that means we're bringing out the black jerseys for this one?

I hope we do not bring back the black jerseys for this game - that is our worst jersey win percentage wise.

Agreed, I most definitely hate seeing us in them. Especially now that I associate them with last year's loss at UConn.

We're not doing this again are we?

When it comes to MUBB or any of my teams I cheer for, yes. Any other part of my life. no.
That is why I say somewhat.

+1
They are almost as ugly as the gray (Georgetown practice jerseys) ones.
We've played them a lot more times than I would have guessed. Mostly in the 80's and 90's. Did know we lost to them in the 03 Final Four season either.

In the 80's, MU would have a home and home every season with Dayton, DePaul, and ND.
We were members of the MCC (now Horizon League) with Dayton from 1989-91, and the Great Midwest from 1991-95.
And as tower said, we played them twice a year for years prior to then when they were both independents. They were a program with a deeper history than Xavier.
I remember the 1984 tournament, when Dayton made a run. They had one of the last great undersized post players, Roosevelt Chapman. 6'4. For a couple games in the tourney, he could not be stopped. I remember the discussions my freshman year about him and Dayton and whether the Flyers were any good.

MU -1.5 on Fan Duel

Yeah that undersized post player had to go against...Patrick Ewing...in the regional final. ?-( ?-( ?-(
Hope we don't have to witness a court storming.
And Michael Graham. And he lost in the elite 8 to the champs.

The good news is that if Dayton wins at least the MU fans will get to go out afterwards and enjoy the Riviera of Western Ohio.
Party on the banks of that Great Miami River. As opposed to the average, or even mediocre, Miami River.

Make sure to get your shots before coming back. Ohio is a nasty place.

Tetanus especially with all that rust
I'll be there!

I think our seniors get this done. Not worried.
I'm going to be there with the family!
I'm going. Never been to Dayton before.

If the Dorms are closed where do the Basketball players "hang out" not to mention some students who don't go home over the "Christmas" break?
I will not be watching the game live. That little guy in my avatar turns 18 today. I got him a pack of smokes and everything. We will be out. Natter amongst yourselves.
BTW, that means we missed scoop's 18th birthday. Thank you, mods.

Glad you got him smokes. Don't let the medical community and lame stream media fool you. Cigarettes pose zero risk and are cool.
