Sorry if this has been covered in other threads, my Scoop activity has been limited lately.
Anyone have an update on Sean? Is there an expected return date or are we looking at a likely redshirt?
He's waiting to be unleashed
Scoop doesn't know anything official. Raftery, during the Purdue game, said a couple of weeks. That is as close to official as anything posted here, so far.
70%....per family.
Does he play before Khris Middleton
Not to say their injuries were identical, but for reference, Bryce Hopkins also tore his ACL last season -- a mere 6 days before Sean did.
Earlier this week, Providence's head coach indicated that Hopkins has been going through full practices and is very close to returning. If I had to guess, Providence will likely see him back around the first week of December.
I have no clue on whether or not Sean has been practicing at full intensity yet, but there have been plenty of posted clips of him practicing his shooting. Based on Bryce's timeline, as well as what others have mentioned, I think one could reasonably assume Sean will be back on the floor sometime January, if not late December.

1. Sean's injury has sounded like it was more severe than Bryce
2. Bryce is back tomorrow

NIL budget getting us time machines?!?!
I predict Sean will get zero minutes against Stony brook. He's got a hill to climb.

I see what you did there. ;D
I heard from a reliable (but unofficial) source that they are shooting for January for Sean's return.
Im drunk. Stonehill guys sorry!
Is there a medical hardship waiver that would give a player an additional year of eligibility if they miss a full season worth of play over the course of 2 years? I don't think there is???
Sometimes I wonder if it's better if he just redshirts the rest of the season for a fresh start next year.
That is the existential question. The Cadougan conundrum. What is best for Sean?

There is not. He was injured too late into last season to apply for last year and if he can physically come back, he won't get one for this year.
His choice of course and I would love to have him back on this team this year, but if I were him, I would forgo another half season eligibility burn.

This is a tough one, isn't it? He has
got to be chomping at the bit. If he does come back and is up to speed :D , It would be great to see him back. I get what you are saying about not burning up a season of eligibility of course.

If he and Shaka feel he can help this team, one that looks like it could be on the verge of a damn good season, I'm all for him returning to play whenever he's up to speed.
If not, it doesn't make sense to give up the year of eligibility ... unless, as you said, it's simply what he wants to do.
In a nutshell, I trust Shaka and Sean.
