Title: Kam Threes
Post by: StillWarriors on November 23, 2024, 12:28:13 PM
Would not have predicted two quality wins without a made 3 by Kam. Very impressive he has played great and not forced shots when they are throwing two guys at him. As long as other guys hit shots like Jop and Gold did today we can take advantage of that D and things should open up for him.

Really impressed by Kam's patience and game management so far.

He was on some insanely long streak of like 40 games with at least 1 3

Which included last year where he had two games with only 3 pts, 1 of them the SHU game where he played 4 min

Now two straight without ha.

There will be games where we need offensive Kam back tho

True, but the beauty of his game is he can still score off the dribble if they are taking away 3s.

Opponents know Kam is the heart of MU.
Glad other teammates are stepping up while the opponents focus on Kam.

Kam has developed an amazing feel for what the team needs from him.

When we need him to score, he scores big. When we need him to be a facilitator, he shoots less and gets his teammates more involved.

He is one of the most efficient players in the entire nation. It's absolutely insane that a guy who routinely takes long 3s and twisting layups in heavy traffic is shooting 64% from the floor.

If the vote was taken today, given what he's done so far and the significant national publicity he received in the days after the Purdue triple-double, he'd be first-team All-American.

I thought he was gonna be great this season and would move himself into the first round of the 2025 NBA draft. But so far anyway, he has actually exceeded my very high expectations.
