Don't think we have a bench player win SOTG, unless it's a poorly selected SOTG because somebody outplayed expectations but still wasn't the best player in the game.
That's quite a prediction Tower. Not sure what you're seeing or if it's just wishful thinking on your part.
I will root for Tre to breakout, because once he figures it out the dam could bust wide open.
But right now, I will say Royce is closest to breaking the dam. He's had two strong games in a row and I can see his confidence growing. He should be really good bench piece by the end of the year.
Parham. I think he will score 15 key points with only like 20 minutes played at some point.

Agree. Only 2 games, but
damn....he looks like he belongs on the court rather than just another Freshman looking like a scared rabbit out there. I get what Wades is saying, but I can see a SOTG from the bench.

Royce is #6 in points per game on the team. Just under all 5 starters. Gold is at 7.3, Royce 6.3. The closest none starter to Royce is Hamilton, with 3ppg.
As for a direct argument for "ball in hand" Royce leads all bench players with 21 shot attempts. The next closest is Lowery with 11.
It seems outside of all 5 starters, royce has the ball the most.
As for Sean Jones... As my name says I'm a big fan of Sean. I don't want to see him burn a year of eligibility on this guard heavy team.

Obviously the caveat being he needs to be healthy and effective, but the team is lost when Kam goes to the bench. And Kam has already faced foul trouble in 2 of 4 games this year. If Sean is healthy and effective, he's immediately the 6th man and the 3rd best guard (depending on your definition of Chase as a guard or wing) on this team.

In addition to Wade's comments, I really think Sean would be willing to burn the year of eligibility just to get back into bball. Your point of the team being guard heavy is true, but a Kam-less team-even for a little while-probably equals some Ls that coulda/shoulda/woulda been Ws.
There is no easy answer here. And that is assuming Sean is ready to play fairly soon.
Zaide is a solid 3 point shooter and plays aggressive defense. Some one will get hurt and Zaide will step up.

Re: Sean Jones, Raf may have let slip on the broadcast that the team is optimistic about a return.
When Benetti brought up Jones, Raf said something to the effect of "...and they expect to get him back in a couple of weeks"

Yeah I'm pretty certain barring some sort of horrible set back he's coming back this year.
Shaka has had too many comments too where he's of course discrete on when, but its always worded in a way that points to a return.

I agree with this, it will be Owens. Even in brief flashes, you can see the instincts and ability to quickly turn a play around. I think by Big East play you'll see him grow into the player we were hearing about all offseason.
