Detroit's first game outside. Goff is not as effective in weather.
No pass rush. So many injuries to the front 7. Love could play and channel is inner Lynn Dickey, as far as mobility.
Detroit's secondary is handsy.
I thing GB wins at home.
Ewe don't no ball, aina?

This helps prove Tower's thesis, imo

Tell me why (ain't nothing but a home game)
Tell my why (rain causes mistakes)
4evers never gonna say
I bet on Green Bay.
Packers' defensive backfield is decimated if Alexander and Williams do not play. They have not been able to generate a decent pass rush. I don't think a bad weather game necessarily helps Green Bay.

So, neither team can rush the passer. I think the weather affects Detroit more, as they haven't played a game outside yet.

He's been fine the last 2 times they played at GB. And he wasn't playing at the level he is now. I don't think they'll score 50 points, but I don't think Goff and the offense is suddenly gonna turn into a pumpkin. Its gonna be 50 degrees, not 20

Goff is the best QB in the NFC at the moment, too.

Goff is the Anders Carlson of QBs?
Goff just had as good a 5 game stretch as any QB ever.

Tell that to CJ Stroud

Watching them tonight, it looks very much like a Texans issue.
Oops. Can't be right all the time.
Two red zone 4th down conversions and one big turnover were the difference in the game.
Goff threw one ball downfield. Thanks for giving up the underneath stuff.
No pass rush was accurate. The pick 6 looked like a blitz against a screen and a bad choice. Other than that, all day. And the handsy stuff did not get called.
What is up with the shotgun snaps?
Green Bay moved the ball up and down the field. Without looking, I assume they outgained Detroit.

Lions have a better coach and front office.
And the MVP

Yes. Guteys been good...not great.
Reality, is that interception is probably a 10 pt swing, in a 10 pt game. The Packers are a physically talented team that has the collective football IQ of Jameis Winston
That yardage differential is impressive. Two straight weeks that the Lions have been crushed in total yardage. Green Bay is not far off. Get healthy, clean up a couple of things.
I can hear all of the Packer wailing. Take a step back, look at the rest of the NFC. You are not far off.

Tower-
It's the same crap week after week, month after month, year after year since LaFleur got there.
They'll probably get to 10 or 11 wins, win a playoff game and all the warts from today will show up in a game they "could have/should have" won and they'll lament the lost opportunity. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Exactly. You were much more right than wrong, your analysis was perfect on almost every aspect. Good job.
Bookies will probably pay those who took the Pack.
Why so negative, dude? They gained over 400 yds., hey?
Last year was for all intents a rebuilding year and GB made the playoffs. GB is still the youngest team in the league. And quit saying 11 wins like it is a bad thing. About 20 teams would love to have LaFleur if GB was stupid enough to fire him. Sometimes you get Shaka, sometimes you get Matt Patricia.
Green Bay is going to the playoffs.
The problem has been on the defensive side of the ball for awhile. It hasn't been just coaching. They aren't physical enough at the point of attack. Quay is NOT an MLB and there is no pass rusher that defenses actually fear.
The offense will be fine if and when Love settles down and stops making one or two dumb throws a game.

Generally agree most weeks but defense was not the issue today. They had letdowns, and they are short a difference maker at all 3 levels at the moment, but they functionally gave us 17 pts

Right, but one sack, no turnovers, and needed to make stops at certain moments and just didn't. Offense and penalties were a bigger problem today.
Penalties and one bad turnover. Defense basically stifled Detroit.

Because the Lions didn't have to do anything.

The conditions were crap and couldn't really do anything when it mattered.
Green Bay beats Green Bay.
