Title: Get to know Ben Steele
Post by: UWW2MU on October 30, 2024, 11:46:52 AM
There's a fun little piece on JSonline about Ben Steele as MU's beat writer.  I always encourage people to check out his stories and to traffic the Journal Sentinel to keep it worthwhile for them to cover MU sports.

I think he's a great asset to have that both compliments our fan blogs while also contributing to a wider audience and creating more exposure for the program that wouldn't always get it.

And before people use this as an opportunity to complain about subscriptions, remember that around Black Friday time you can usually get a year subscription for less than $10.  Worth it.

edit* Oh and also, apparently he's a Badger alum... so... we should boycott him and the JS.

As an Illinois resident, Ben Steele is literally the only reason I have a Journal Sentinel subscription.

I initially signed up with a 3 months for $1 deal.  When I went to cancel during the offseason they kept halving the price when I declined.  At $0.83 a month ($10 a year) I gave in but I wonder if they would have continued reducing the price had I kept declining.

I never have a problem with Badger Alums.  Mostly all are smart, worldly people.

It's the Badger Fans who have never stepped foot in an academic building that kill me.

I like how the MJS Question called us a "small" but passionate audience.

My limited interaction with Badger alums have all been positive. All expressed genuine respect for MU and MU basketball. There were a few unkind comments about Minny and MSU though.
