And I get assists probably matter more for his NBA longevity than points, but seen as how he hasn't gotten one of those yet...

He's a starter. Or will be, anyway.

"10000-23165 - Star."

For what it's worth, Wesley Matthews has 11,210 points but I don't think I'd consider him a star.

I think TK is going to long career in the NBA and be more than a journeyman. High hopes for TK.

He's not gonna get much pt this year.  Payne should not be on the Knicks roster in my unbiased opinion.

Yeah, it's an arbitrary cutoff and he'd be at the lower end of it, but I'd say any dude with 9-figure career earnings can be considered at least a "minor" star.

He was in a "weird" sort of level.  Not quite a star, but averaged 15+ for 5-6 straight years as the 2nd/3rd leading scorer on consistent playoff Blazer teams.  Not an All Star, but something that NBA teams would be THRILLED to get out of a lottery pick (not drafted top 5).

As for TK, TJ McConnell is currently just under 5000 pts.  Kolek can be every bit the NBA contributor he is.  Kolek has shown he can find ways to score at this level.  Injuries will happen, he'll have stretches where he's playing double digit minutes a couple games in a row this year.  I'll be shocked if he isn't over 1000 by the end of his rookie deal.  His playmaking will get him on the floor.
