Is the WAB based only on preseason expectations or is it adjusted as the season goes on? A key injury completely changes a team's expectations.

It changes daily based on the results of not just the team you are playing, but every other result that day. So if Iowa State only ends up being a top-15 team rather than a top-5 team, that WAB will probably drop to .7-ish rather than the current .84. The "true" WAB is that on Selection Sunday.
