Can't wait to see it! It was an amazing time to be in Milwaukee. We were at one of the World Series games.
The pennant celebration was amazing.
I'm not a Brewers fan, but I really enjoyed watching and following that team. Great achievements on the field, unique personalities off it. And the city was up for grabs - a fun environment to be living in Milwaukee.
I looked up this film and it seems it will only be shown in Marcus Theaters? So those of us who don't live in the area won't have access to it? If so, that would be disappointing, but maybe I read it wrong.

The summer/fall of '82 was absolutely a fantastic time to be a Brewer fan. The previous four years made us all believers and the cast of characters made them extremely easy to love and cheer on. I was a sophomore at MU that year and it was a crazy ride and I loved every single minute of it. I went to all six playoff/WS games and great memories of getting out of hand with my Dad and older brother after winning game 5 of ALCS.
The '85 Bears think the Brewers talk about the '82 team too much.

This is the first time I've heard the 82 brewers brought up this season. I honestly don't remember hearing about it very often in my lifetime.

I was a long-time fan of the "Other Guys" in the 1982 World Series but that was one of the most conflicted baseball series I ever had. I really liked that Brewers team and if they'd been my beloved Cardinals, I would have enjoyed it almost as much as I did the actual outcome.
The Brewers had a great team in Molitor, Yount, Ogilivie, Thomas, Bando, Simmons. All good guys and three in the Hall of Fame. I enjoyed watching that team evolve in the late 1970s through 1982. It was a good feeling, especially given the way the Braves screwed Milwaukee a decade earlier.
Just an FYI, Sal Bando was not on the '82 team. He retired after the '81 season.
If I were a Bears fans I would never stop talking about the '85 season. As a long time Brewers fan, I could talk about '82 for hours. It was that special of a season, imo.
I worked as an usher for the Brewers from 1979-1984, spanning from my senior year in HS to all of my MU years and one beyond graduation. That was really a fun time to be at a ton of games, including all of the playoff and WS games.
Can't wait to see this movie. This won't go national in theaters, but after its local run will no doubt be available to stream before long.

I sold beers there one season (the one they had the playoff game with the Yankees). Was a fun time!

That was the '81 strike season.
I was a freshman living in McCormick. 4 of us from St. Louis in rooms next door. Marched down Wisc when the WallBangers won the pennant (a very likable team), and then had a great time when the Cards beat them. Quite a run for the Cards in the 80s. Fam moved back to Chicago upon MU graduation. Now reveling in the glory that is the White Sox in pursuit of immortality.

Cecil Cooper was a great contributor. One of my favorites on the Brewers.
Cooper was a very part of the success the Brewers had during that stretch. Hit for high average and had very good power. Truthfully, the whole team brought a lot to the table on that item. A number of unsung guys played big roles in September.

All three were big.
Don't forget about Gantner!
And don't sell the pitchers short - Caldwell, Vuke, Moose, McClure, Slaton and the incomparable Rollie Fingers. (And even Pete Ladd after Fingers got hurt.)
That season is etched in my memory.
