Was a flamboyant and highly talented Pro. Loved his Sword Dance after making a putt.

Oh, was Chi Chi the guy who acted like he was putting his putter in a sword sheath on his side?
Chi Chi was already was well past his prime by the time I was born. But both my maternal grandma (who is a televised sports nut) and my grandpa's neighbor in Florida LOVED him, especially on the Senior Tour, so I saw plenty of him when I was a pre-teen. So much so that I vividly remember doing the sword sheathing putter celebration a bunch of times and my friends thinking I invented it cause they had no clue who a 60+ Puerto Rican pro golfer was ;D
I happened to be at Chi Chi's final professional victory - the 1993 Burnet Senior Classic in suburban Minneapolis. He was 4 months shy of his 58th birthday.
In addition to playing great golf, he was obviously having fun playing, regularly mugging for the fans and media even during the final round.
One of my favorite scenes from WKRP in Cincinnati is when Les Nessman horribly mispronounces Chi Chi's name:

RIP. He was good for golf. I loved his hats and specifically his colorful hat bands.
