Crean was really impressive in that entire interview.

Deane was a better coach
Dean had success with O'Neal's players and took the team down after that. His coaching could not overcome his poor recruiting and he was not coaching in the Big East conference.

Jerry Lewis was a better coach than Dean Martin.
I beg to disagree. Nothing better than Dean with a cigarette in one and and a drink in the other.

Fair enough. Every coach loves somebody sometimes.

Crean is great on TV. In studio, in mini interviews, he's very suited to it, especially this older and less awkward version of Crean.

100%. He came in promising an uptempo game and realized he couldn't do that with KO's roster. As a student during the Deane years, I am appreciative of the post-season runs we had with the NIT finals, 2 NCAA tourneys, the CUSA tourney 4 wins in 4 days title, and the NIT Quarterfinals (should have made the tourney that year if Hutch had stayed healthy/happy), and 3-1 against Bucky and 2-0 against ND, along with some other big wins (Cincy, Iowa State, Memphis State). But the writing was on the wall and Bill Cords made the right decision.
Crean has the gift of gab. He probably doesn't believe half da word salad he spits out either, hey?

Did Dean and O'Neal recruit O'Tule and Marcus?
