Just annoyed at people whining about paywalls but then expecting someone to spoon feed them. It's 10 bucks. You want more articles written like this? Then actually do something to contribute.

The only problem with "it's only $10" or "it's worth the money" is that's said for any and all content. So lines do have to be drawn.

People complain about espn+ or athletic content on here and the same responses come

I personally don't care if someone posts a paywall and doesn't want to share with the rest. I'll fill in the blanks elsewhere

It's just bizarre logic that's an endless circle

The Zach Randolph comment and the 3 pt shooting comment was interesting....wasn't expecting him to be anything other than a big guy banging underneath the hoop.

Hi praise!

"Coach Shaka Smart said he believes Hamilton is ready.

"If we had a game right now," Smart said, "he'd be in our rotation, and he'd be a real factor."

Regarding paywall. Worth it.

And I am not a journal sentinel fan!

it's like 10 bucks for a year of coverage.

And then it's like 12 bucks a month. Until you call and yell at them and then they'll drop it down to slightly more then you were paying before. Cycle repeats until you are almost paying 12 bucks a month.

I actually support your point of financially supporting quality sports journalism. I just hate the song and dance. Just give me the price you are going to give me anyway. Don't make me call you and threaten to cancel to get that price.

Can't be true - our scoop experts said that we can not expect much for a player the year after a redshirt freshman year.

I agree with this. However my solution is to just turn off the auto renew.  It's a matter of a couple days before I get a link in my email to renew for $10/yr again.

It's definitely a choice on whether to sign up or not.  The on-line access for the paper here in Omaha started at 12.99/mth 2 years ago and is now 32.99/mth.  👀

So we have links that are behind different paywalls all the time. Should I be paying for everyone?

I agree with all this. I pay for some of sources that get cited on here, and I don't pay for others.

When someone posted this on another thread yesterday, my initial urge was to respond asking for a quick summary for those who don't have access. But I decided nobody wanted to hear me whine about a paywall, and I didn't want a lecture about being a cheap bastard. So I just moved along...endless circle, indeed.

Right. The only reason that I would subscribe to the MJS is because of its Marquette coverage. But I can get the jist of what Rosiak is reporting through reading PT or getting summaries here.  Maybe if I lived in the area I would do it.

On top of that though, Gannett's web interface is beyond annoying.
