Murf. The Gr8 one. MU rebounding royalty.
RIP.
Yes, rest in peace. Another good one is gone. Mighty Murf was a great supporter of MU basketball. Loved his stories, especially the one about matching up with Wilt.
RIP. I'll gargle with Listerine and wrap my ankle tonight, in memory.
One of my favorite message board moments is Dodds asking me to take it easy on murf and that he would ban me if I didn't.
Murf was one of a kind. Condolences to his family, but he lived a long and good life.
I enjoyed his perspective.
Very sad. May he rest in peace. He was always very kind to me and provided wonderful anecdotes of his time at MU on the court.
I liked Murf. RIP, JG.
My Murf story - about 10 or more years ago I was at an MUBB event (thinking it was the fish fry event). I was picking up a dessert for someone at my table and Murf was nearby the dessert table. Looking at my well-past college age physique, Murf blurts out "should you be eating that?" I said "well, it's for not me and fucck you." That has been my only interaction with Murf other than the Dodd's board back in the day before I was kicked out.
He was a legend in real life (his work at St. Ann's remains very impressive) and he was infamous online. Sort of the American Dream.
RIP Jelly.

You should have said "Yes and I think I'll have two."

Guess we all have the potential to become a message board legend.

That's awesome, really clever way to frame a legacy, great from Steele per usual.
However, I call shenanigans on Murf being some self-aware message board anarchist/troll. He may have enjoyed getting a rise out of people, but he certainly wasn't creating purposefully silly arguments just for it. As an online persona, he was insanely stubborn and self-assured and just liked to argue.
Dime a dozen, hey?

And Dodds paints himself as the hero: "I would ask him about Tex Winters"
