Love the results. But love the person. Let's get 4 more wins.
Couldn't agree more!!
Shaka's the man.
100 percent!
Great coach and a great person.
Man, we lucked out with getting him.
Man..too bad they cut away during his interview, as he'd gotten choked up before answering one Katz's questions. You know that 10 year monkey on his back of not getting to the Sweet 16 had to be heavy as unnatural carnal knowledge.
Brilliant human being and so happy and proud of him and this team.
Sczerbiak mentioned rumors around Shaka.
Not worried.
Nomination for sainthood is now assured. :-)

He's not going anywhere except to the Elite 8 and beyond.
Nobody deserves good things like Shaka deserves good things. So damn happy for him right now
I couldn't be happier for Shaka and team! They deserve it big time. We are!
Shaka and MU are a perfect marriage - and I think Shaka knows that. He has already learned about the grass on the other side of the fence.

Has anyone else heard anything about this? Admittedly, I don't follow the rumor mill at all but that was the first I had heard about it and it made me nervous enough that I came running to Scoop. Any threads about it?

There was one that said he was a Michigan target - I mean of course any school would love to get Shaka but just because that's true doesn't mean it was going to happen.
A tremendous leader of these young men. Lucky we have a man of this character guiding our team.

He's not leaving now or anytime soon. Wouldn't be surprised if he's here another 20 years.

I would be, but only because he strikes me as a guy who retires in his 50s

Man, we lucked out with getting him.
Amen.
Lucked out even more getting him
when we got him. I'd like to think that his experience at Texas made him realize that Marquette is a perfect place to spend a career.
He's changed everything. It's been 11 years. Superb coach. 2 down, 4 to go. :)
There's no better job for him than Marquette. It's constantly mentioned how it's the perfect fit for him. Perfect league for him. We struck gold with hiring him.
Meanwhile, Moser has yet to take OU to the tournament.

This! Love Shaka and the karma with Marquette!!!!!!
Best hire in MU history.

Best hire in MU history.
Aside from surface level, I didn't know much about Shaka or his approach or his culture before his hire.
I couldn't be more impressed. And perhaps the most impressive part of it is his self-awareness and willingness to evolve. We have a coach that is outstanding who hasn't peaked yet.
Love
My king
There is not another coach in all of college basketball I would rather have. Who would have thought we'd get to say that at MU. Amazing times...loving every minute. In all honesty, a loss today would not have made me feel any different. I feel like if he hangs around MU for the rest of his career we'll get a few deep runs. Appreciate who he is as a man as much as I appreciate him as a coach.
Hope he stays at MU for a long time.
John Fanta sums it up perfectly.

NO MENTION OF STEVIE!?!?!?
Well stated, John.
I think Shaka will be a hot commodity. I think MU and him are a perfect match.
Really appreciate what President Lovell, Bill Scholl, and the key supporters did to end up with Shaka at MU.

This. He's always going to be on someone's list and it that doesn't mean it's reciprocal.

After Al. Although that may need to be reassessed in the future.

Clearly but that was lucky. Shaka was the best and most accomplished hire we have ever had.
LOL, he's a crybaby.
They've beaten 2 low seeded, meh teams.
CryingShaka
I agree. I don't like cry baby Shaka anymore.

Badgers really got unlucky playing an underseeded team.
Wait. Duke just took that team behind the woodshed.
