Sending a message that his voice is the only thing he's losing this tournament. Love it.

There were almost 20,000 fans at each BE game. I'm sure the volume level required to talk to your players in the huddles tends to strain the vocal cords.
Shaka is hedging on Kolek...

Yeah sounds like he wasn't even close this weekend.
What reason does Shaka honestly have to give a timeline or more information on Kolek? Think of it from a game theory perspective.
If Shaka says Kolek plays, teams have one plan to scout for. They have all the information and ~25+ game tapes to look at, at least a few of which probably mirror a play style they can use to try and beat us.
If Shaka hedges on Kolek playing, now teams have to prepare for a number of different looks and only ~4 games worth of season tape to look at. They have to assume Kam plays point primarily, but also have to consider that Oso, Stevie, and Tre can all play point.
"Rust" for a high major basketball player who is an All American isn't a thing, so you play Tyler if you can against WKU, but if you can't, you get him some good practice reps and play him in the second round. We can beat WKU without Tyler.
Shaka/MU have been communicating confidence in Kolek's return in order to protect that 2 seed. Could be a bit of a bait and switch going on. I'm hoping he plays, and really hoping that he plays well... we shall see.
Smart of Shaka.

Likely wants to give WKU more to think about.
