Florida, Boise St, Colorado?
Hubris - I love it, totally looking past the goofy red grimace-looking Hilltopper mascot team.
I got Florida.
Boise St.
Cody Williams from Colorado is a probable top-10 pick in the NBA draft. Some places project him as overall #1
long thin guy around 6-8.
Those lottery picks scare me (I remember Ja), although he's a frosh
They also have a couple others projected to be drafted this year.
missed a couple weeks with an ankle(?) injury, and really didn't do much in the conf tourney.
The matchup with Florida's rebounding numbers spooks me, though losing Handlogten today probably takes a big toll for them.
Western Kentucky is the only focus right now
Want no part of any of them.

We're Marquette. We can the the NCAA "NO" and head to the NIT.
The guy on the CBS Sports Network just predicted the South Region. He's picking Florida in the first round. The reason he gave was Micah Handlogten. Somebody really should tell him.

Yeah he was a top ~5 rebounder in the country. Certainly not their best player, but he would have caused us fits.
Our opponent will be Colorado...should we survive WKU.

Handlogten only averaged 20minutes a game but was second on the team in rebounding.
The team goes through Pullin and Clayton. Pullin basically has 5 to 1 a/t rate. Both can get to the basket and put up points. Clayton is their main three point threat followed by Richard. 2/3 of Richard's shots and over half of Clayton's come from behind the arc.
Their main post presence is Samuel and he will be backed up by Condon. Good news is neither is a 7ft beast.
Their defense is suspect but they have put up big numbers on offense.
I haven't had a chance to look at Colorado yet.

Watching CBS Sports. Hibbert just said Handlogten will be a difference maker lol

He is very vocal from the bench with his other 20minutes so I expect him to bring that for a full 40.

But still won't be enough vs CU.

Made a couple bucks on that one. Probably more against FL.

No. But CU will beat them

I hope you're right. Although we don't want Lampkin to fall on Oso.

Lampkin is Oso and Davante in a blender.

I would have jop guard Lampkin some. Got more girth.
Davante was incredibly skilled. It's very unfortunate he had no self control food wise.

you lunch w/Davante at Cobeen, hey?
Doesn't matter if it is Florida or Colorado, Marquette will win
So Colorado is decent. Only 20min from bench and not much else. No foul trouble. If they beat FL in the same fashion... Bench could be a difference. I don't think there will be a fatigue factor even if no bench...college kids. We should beat em if given the chance.

Viper,
I think he got up to at least 310 lbs his Sr. season. He wasn't light on his feet and lacked energy.

so during game action when I'd yell to get the ball to Davante...'feed the big man', not appropriate?

In their senior years, Davante ageraged 6 minutes, 1 fga, and 1 rebound per game game less than Oso, while averaging two more fta. This is a bizarre take.

Didn't Davante cut weight over the years?

Not when a little guy is chastising Davante many years later for his weight because....oh,
you figure out why if you can.

Well done.

I think you also called into question our ability to survive WKU in that prediction.
So any positive scoop points you win are wiped away by COLE. Thus it's probably equal to your lifetime earnings as a moderator.
