I don't post often, but it cracks me up the wild difference in opinions here. We can all agree Shaka is the dude to lead us for the foreseeable future - hopefully most scoopers with a brain realize Tyler has no upside to play in the BET. Additionally, the TKO injury has gotten Kam to play at a different level and now we are legit National championship threats so everyone should just enjoy the ride!
Wholeheartedly agree with just about all of this, but winning a BET title because TK plays tomorrow = upside. Fair to argue the risk isn't worth it, but there's plenty of potential upside.
I am.
This has been a very enjoyable year.
As far as tonight a have zero expectations. Even if TK plays I don't expect them to win and will be a bonus if they do. On the flip side if they lose it means literally nothing.

Yep
It has. I was one of those people who, preseason, said that this team would be as good but with a worse record than last season. Last season was charmed.
Going into the season, one of MU's advantages was guard depth. 5 that had shown they could play. MU hasn't had those 5 guards since Stevie popped his hamstring. But the team has stayed together and persevered. The young guys have improved.
I appreciate the sentiment of the OP.

Zero expectations now. But if they go up 2-0 tonight...
They need to hit the transfer portal because next year will be rough
We saw with Kolek's injury, others have stepped up to win.
I expect that next year.
Crazy to think that this will be the sixth time Marquette and UConn will have met just in the last 14 months.
And we'd all be thrilled if there's a 7th in 15 months!

Hopefully, Shaka cuts some dead weight to upgrade the talent

I am.
Same, tower. Same. RC Colas (or some sort of fancy mocktail you prefer) on me to talk about the team should our paths cross for these tourney games upcoming.
Hell of a season so far. Hoping I get to enjoy some of that Phoenix weather in a few weeks.

First of those 6 was Jan. 11, 2023, so I'm counting 14 months (and a handful of days). I nonetheless doubt you're "dumb."

we can't expect guys to improve in the off-season - not allowed on Scoop.

Maybe we scoopers can embody the Shaka culture and improve in the off-season 😁
