Shaka doesn't get a ton of love nationally for his Xs and Os. But he should. MU's led the Big East in After Time Out PPP the past 2 seasons, both top-5 numbers nationally. This and a lot more, on what 2 play calls mean for the program beyond this season.

Shaka was superlative last night out of the cuddles.

Thats been the narrative. Hes a very gentle intimate soul to make one feel comfortable
The difference in the quality of execution between Wojo's years at the helm and Shaka's first year was immediately apparent. That difference has increased with each year under Shaka. (To think some of the misinformed were claiming Wojo's staff was the best since Al. Yikes.) It is really refreshing. While Shaka does a great job with the culture aspects of building a program, he is a much better Xs and Os coach and teacher of fundamentals than he gets credit for being.
