Title: MU/Creighton Game Thread
Post by: 1SE on March 02, 2024, 04:53:16 AM
Sorry Muggs, early bird gets the worm.

Let's shake out the COLE - Tyler or no Tyler this is absolutely a game we can win. We have one of the most dynamic 5s in the game, a couple of guys who can get hot from three, some stalwart defenders and some high-energy bench players.

WE ARE MARQUETTE!

Here's hoping both teams play hard and have fun out there.  What an opportunity to represent their universities, family and communities on the national stage.

Basketball isn't about the final score, but the bonds you build with your teammates for life and the lessons you learn that make you a better human being.

Sadly, I'll miss today's game because of climate change.  Taking advantage of the warm conditions here in Wisconsin and playing 18.  Imagine this has the potential to be a classic Dung Willie day

Do people get extra scoop points that i am not aware of for starting threads 8 hours early?
8 minutes into the game lets get the SOTG thread started.

I'm afraid my expectations for him have become unrealistic. Let's hope he can reach new heights today.

Let's see who steps up with Kolek out.  There's an opportunity for someone to seize the moment.  I'm still hopeful MU can make this a competitive game.

Have a good feeling about today. Think the entire team will be very locked in and we'll see a spirited effort on the defensive end. Think Oso will be regarded as a lock to go into the lottery after today. Big opportunity to showcase his playmaking ability and I think he gets it done.

Everyone has to just keep shooting the ball.

Ben is 0-3 from deep. Tre and Zaide each 0-1. Can't pass up open looks today though.

Idc if Ben takes 12 3's. If he's open, he's gotta shoot baby!

They look just fine on offense. Getting all kinds of open shots.

Defense has been the issue. Limited bodies to attack the glass.

What a crappy end to an awesome effort. Proud of the guys, incredible effort

Superb effort.  We could never hit the timely three and then it went full suckage.

I don't think I remember a good shooter rattle home as many threes as Baylor Scheierman. It's extraordinary.
Who the hell is guarding that guy?

Should never be a reference to the Power 5 while doing a Big East game.
It was awkward. Basically said big east doesn't have the excitement of power 5 conference tournaments which is hilarious and dumb. Yes the pac 12 has more excitement... I think he misspoke

And he gets away with a lot of moving picks.

Even the yahoos at ESPN call the Big East the best tournament. Does he think basketball has innings and touchdowns?

Losing sucks. No participation award here. Proud? Whatever. Need to be better to win.

gold needs to work on his 3's big time and ross cannot be so non-existent. norman in over his head. great games from mitchell, jones, joplin. would have won with one of oso or kolek. didn't get blown out and it was right there for the taking, think we would've won if it were at home

We lose most games when two of our top three players don't have good games.    2 out of three were not even this game.   So.... Hats off to our tough tough team who gave it their all against all odds.

We played a tremendous first half.  I think we had two turnovers.    Creighton is a great offensive team and we simply didn't make enough open looks to close the show once it was a 2pt game.

Everybody's fans would be doing the same.

They picked up a big win that improves their position for seeding in the BET and NCAA tournaments.
