Plus, you have to imagine Ben won't ever recover from Dung Willie's new nickname.

No, he nicknamed Ben, "Brick Gold". Stevie is still just plain "pile of dung"
It was decided in the game thread that Willie is "Dung Willie"
"Gold Brick" would have actually been a more clever nickname, but even with a 50/50 shot, he manages to screw it up.

So close. Should have gone with sensitive instead of careful.
If opposing fanbases are still working the Tyler Can't Read jokes, the proper response should be:
"Well, that's ok. He can just memorize his BEPOY acceptance speech."

From Barstool: "Everyone always wants to talk about what team being relevant makes college basketball better, and yeah the obvious big names are right. But it's the Big East that makes college basketball better. They have the most insane collective fanbase on social media. They have the names in the league. They have the coaching personalities. They have stupid things like this, that Tyler Kolek can't read and compliance officers tweeting about it. Can't wait for the Garden."
He's right. The Big East rules.
Kolek and MU should be pissed at the Big East fan base that is promoting this.

People don't understand that the reaction to a social media post can make things way worse than the initial post. This stuff just needs to be ignored.

Is it possible the oblique "injury" is just a cover up for this suspension?

I agree with this analysis. 99% of Twitter (X) is just trolls trying to get rises out of people. Same goes for some random account that claims Kolek is going to be out for 4 weeks because he knows a student manager. People need to look at the account said tweet is coming from and realize these accounts are just trolls and ignore them.
The compliance officer responding from her personal account? Yikes.

She represents herself as a representative from Marquette in her bio and responds in a matter related to her job at Marquette.
She shouldn't have replied at all. You let the official channels determine if a response is warranted and what that response should be.
In the end its not that big of a deal, but now she's got a bunch of trolls in her timeline saying some pretty unfortunate things.

In her defense she had 7,000 more likes than the fake account that posted the Kolek part, so people seemed to have sided with her.

Feels like the fact he played and Shaka could have made a passing comment to it in his press conference would have been enough to squash this one.

Sadly, I wish he was suspended due to grades vs an injury. Grades can be fixed in short order. Plus, a good coverup is always fun discuss for a decade or so.

Once their minds are made up, the very last thing they want is any suggestion or evidence that they are wrong. This is an example of Northern rednecks refusing to accept that anything they say or believe could
possibly be wrong.
