A nice palate cleanser. Stay healthy, get everyone their looks, be ahead by enough that the three freshmen play from the second half under 12 media timeout until the walk-ons enter with two minutes left.
The Tre Norman game. Double-digit points, plus several rebounds.
That would be fine with me.
$4 FiFo beers pregame.

Trap game
According to what Mr. Nielsen posted about the Big East TV tonight, MU is favored by 25.5. Because 26 seemed too much. I can see MU playing all of their young guys the last 10 minutes and the lead going from 30 to 15 and gamblers losing their mind.

Yeah, zero chance I'm betting on MU -25.5. Certainly could happen, but a 24 point win with big games from the frosh would work for me
Different places have slightly different numbers, but the themes are the same. I don't bet, but that seems like a sucker bet to me. We appear to agree.
DePaul plays Marquette tough. Hoping the crowd can stifle their energy early and Marquette can rebound effectively.
I'm thinking the crowd will be flat tonight. Should also be the smallest number listed since St. Thomas as this game wasn't part of the miniplan.

I'm heading up for it. So at least one semi loud voice. Can't say no to $4 Hamms

I think the crowd will be flat too. The boys will have to bring their own energy.
The later 8:00 pm tip time and the $4 pre-game Hamm's should help rev up the crowd. :D
When I saw the topic subject, I thought tower was starting a "pro" or "con" poll.
Not sure on the size of the crowd that will show up, but I think under 1500 tickets were available a couple of days ago.

Yup, AI generated a preview of the actual crowd for tonight.

They're gonna storm the court when they upset Marquette tonight. Since the few remaining DP fans are probably about my age, I think it would be kind of Marquette to allow them to drive onto the court in their SUVs.
Butler beat them by 14, Marquette by 13, Providence by 11 and Georgetown by 3. All below their average margin of defeat of just over 16 points per game and way below the average margin of defeat in Big East play of 24 points. UCONN only beat them by 29 at home just one point more than they beat us. We better crush them tonight by more that 24.

He's, not they're...
If ever there was a night to offer $1 beers rather than $4 beer, this is it. And try to get rid of those pesky alcohol control agents or whatever they are called in Milwaukee.

TSmith is a big DP fan

Or what?
The old DP fans get to drive their SUVs on our court after the game in celebration. Actually, they could probably all fit easily into one vehicle.
Literally my least favorite game of the season. Winning this game does nothing for the resume, winning by only a certain amount hurts our net, losing kills our resume. Game is usually an unentertaining as it comes.

On our way up from Chicago.

Escaping one apocalyptic hellscape only to voluntarily enter another equally violent inner city dystopian wasteland?
What do you want on your tombstone?
I predict the Blue Demons ride home will be a bit flat.

Agreed, Ticketmaster usually gives you a good gauge on what the crowd will be like and tonight's tickets are about 4-5x less than the average home BE game this year. With the current state of the program, the opponent is less of a factor on crowd size but DePaul is so horrible to the point where it will affect it. I'm looking forward to the game though and excited to see the team back in action.

Well played. Gross, but well played.
Fair. I cannot recall seeing pineapple on a frozen Tombstone pizza. Tombstone has enough problems with peppers and onions.
MU won't cover, disastrous loss
Right now seats in the student section are covered with the We Ate Marquette signs at the top of the lower bowl at both ends.
Hardly anyone in the upper bowl.

Figures a Diet Pepsi drinker would like pineapple (and mushrooms) on his za.
Damn straight
Turns out the $4 pre-game beer wasn't Hamm's...it was Busch Light. Still saw long lines at 7:50, but that's not a beer I want.
