Honorable mention to Stevie.
Probably Kolek
You will rarely see a half of basketball that was totally dominated by Tyler Kolek, Marquis Howard had shooting games that were amazing, but Koleks drives and passes were outstanding, the two passes to Stevie Mitchell were passes of beauty!
It's TyKo tonight.
You have to ask???
Really only played half a game.

You're not wrong. 2nd half was definitely the good half
Tyko with a huuuge assist to Stevie.
Tyler. When he is Tyler this is just too much fun!
TK's second half is as impressive performance that I have seen in a long time. A joy to watch.
Kolek an easy choice. Laphonso Ellis honorable mention for calling a great game.
There are players that are so good that after their last game you feel bad you won't see them in an MU uniform again. And there are players that are so great, they still have time left but you are still sad that at some point in the future you won't see them in an MU uniform again. I actively tell myself to enjoy this while it's happening.

Great post. Enjoy every second of a special player and special team.
Eh, missed the triple double, hardly stud-like

Do you mean dung?
Yep, the one everyone wanted out of the starting lineup in November. 😊

Not everyone.
Mr. Kolek
But as some have observed, Stevie is a unique talent. He might be an NBA specialist.
Stevie is not NBA ready yet.

Stevie isn't tall enough to get by on being a defensive specialist.

good thing he has a 4.0 in finance
Correct. I am a huge, huge, huge Stevie fan. But size is so important in the NBA. 6'3 has to either shoot like Curry or have break down quickness and ball/passing skills. OMax was a first round draft draft.pick because he can guard 5 positions. Stevie can guard 2.
Kolek for sure, but man did Chase and Stevie step up huge!!

He was passing to Chase...just said it in the presser. Never saw that.
Kolek
TKO
The best point guard in MU history IMHO
The pass he made from the logo right to the corner for the Chase three was jaw-dropping. At the 2:00 minute mark here.

Tap-out by Gold, too. Kids going to be really good
That one was a no-brainer. Kolek put on one of the best performances I've seen in person. Did everything for us.
Will say something negative here about kolek....after already said he is SOTG.
First half like others he was sleepwalking a bit. Weak passes. Twice into Oso's legs. A weak behind the back that almost got stolen. Even a couple in the second half....though that was in total a half for the ages.
Perhaps what makes him inconsistent serves him as a great player. Not sure. Maybe we need Kolek as he is rather than a different kolek that's consistent and steady.
Just saying there was some other stuff to see.
Sultan
That pass was special. Others might think there have been better PG's at MU, but I strongly disagree.

so Mrs pibiflyer who is not the most aware of basketball fans even said holy sh*t that was a hell of a pass.
TKO. Another all-time great MU performance. Perhaps his best passing game ever, which is a bar that's about as high as the moon.
Kolek. This one is a no doubter! He was brilliant.
Honorable mention to Stevie.
Stevie was huge on both sides of the ball. He deserves it, But Tyler must get it

This.
Tyler with another all-time great performance!
It's got to be Tyler. And Stevie was amazing.
I assume others felt like I did, that Oso was not prominent, not notable. I just looked at the box score (https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401599525 (https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401599525)). 9 and 9. Nearly a double-double. Almost unseen. Another great example of how he contributes to and impacts the game without being a star.
Kolek masterclass.

He also shut down a premier big man in the conference for the second time this season. As in, made completely irrelevant. This is stating the obvious for any objective observer at this point, but Oso >>>>> Soriano.
We took a lot of Johnny punches in the early rounds.
In the end, we won by TKO.

It is TKO
But inject Stevie talking sh*t to Daniss after one of his buckets into my veins. It's this years (also Stevie) "I'm still here" to Boum.

Shoutout to whoever was sitting courtside across from our bench, talking crap to Jenkins most of the game. Stevie came over and dapped them up as MU was running out the clock.

Why a shoutout? No, that's stupid and lame for Joe Fan to engage in. Kid played really well. Not far from a triple double.
Are we really going to give SOTG to a guy with a Blk0%?
Obviously Tyler, but Stevie played a great game too. Also special mentions to Chase Ross and Ben Gold for very good minutes from the bench.
that was one of our best TEAM efforts. everyone contributed nicely, but it all revolved around a man named tyler...he's back!

Yep, for this one we should be voting for top runner-up.
Which is important just in case TK can't serve his SoG role for any reason.
So yes ... Stevie.
TKO for the KO ! ! ! 8-)
