Tremendous win and 2H with Tyko throttling St. J.
Muggsy:
I am enjoying every minute of the Tyko era. Players like him don't come around very often.

Lol.
I think I'm sold that he'll have a nice NBA career.
Trying to match him with someone whose come before....Scott Stiles but is that only because he's white? Brunson? Whose tough as nails, can take over but sometimes inconsistent in the NBA?

Definitely plays with Skiles' attitude.

To my knowledge Tyler doesn't have a single child yet...long ways to go to earn a Skiles comparison.
Kolek is Jalen Brunson. Not a NPOY...yet. But the game is very similar.

I think he's sort of a combo of Nash and Brunson. Not as good of course but he has a lot of their skill sets. He may even be better than I think with an open floor and nba roster. Defensively I do have some concerns.

Brunson is a very good comp. Not as strong obviously but very similar game

Will be interesting to see what he can do as a passer with NBA talent around him. Agree with you...if he can guard...he can stick in the league...but that's going to be hard for him.

Maybe that's where he was on January 6.
Kolek will absolutely play in the NBA and have a solid career. I see a lot of John Stockton in his game.

Tremendous find... literally LOL. Ty!
Jon Stockton
Steve Nash ...
And the white guy guard that starts at PG for the Lakers.
Diener played in the League, and he's an MU great. But TKO is better

What white PG on the Lakers? Reeves? He's like 6'6.

Brunson averaged under 4 assists a game in college. TKO averages over 7. Brunson was nowhere near the passer TKO is. Different games, IMO.
If Tyler played a fourth season at MU, he'd break Miller's assist record and would've scored a lot more points in the process cars as well. The best point guard we've ever had, bar none.

Tyler is on pace to break Tony Miller's single season record this year if Marquette plays 37 games. That would mean a Big East Championship Game appearance and Sweet 16 appearance.

*Skiles
*who's
Yes, Muggsy - Reeves.
Reeves is listed at 6 ' 5" ... 210
Kolek is listed as 6' 3 " ... 195 .
That " difference " will not prevent
TKO from being in the NBA
Great comeback!

Reaves isn't really a point guard and his game doesn't resemble TyKo's.
Can we talk about "the pass" yesterday? That was absolutely sick. One of the all time great highlight dimes in MU history.

We have
I love this from Dukie V's ESPN article on the Top 6 Point Guards:
"Kolek is one of the top skilled playmakers who can shoot and pass. He's been outstanding at distributing the basketball throughout his collegiate career and runs the point to a tee. He's a bit too unselfish, but he has a solid feel for the game."
I guess he's not great or very good. Just solid. ::)
IMHO, TK has a great feel for the game. Probably his best attribute. Vital doesn't even have a solid feel for the college game any more.

I am assuming you mean the wrap around to Stevie that TKo said was supposed to go to Chase but Stevie caught instead.

Are we really going to bitch about Dick Vitale using the wrong adjective here?

Or the one to Chase in the corner...or the one to Chase on the break...
Or the one to Oso that went 50+ feet in the air and hit him in stride for a dunk.

FYI, we've reached the point where Dick Vitale is beyond reproach.
The dudes been living with throat cancer for so long that he can't speak and hasn't spoken in almost a year.
His choice of adjective is up for discussion.

Actually, I doubt Vital actually wrote that himself. My guess is he gave his list to an ESPN staffer and told them to fill in the blanks.

Or even the one late that definitely was supposed to go to Stevie.
Him and Stevie made that play and timing look way easier than it is for most guards.

That is the one Tyler referenced as intended for a wide open Chase Ross that Stevie ran in to. Even in that video, you can see Ross in the background all alone. Listen to the post game presser.

Love it! And it was clear that Chase was the intended receiver, but so glad Stevie snagged it. In addition to the bucket, that sequence had to have rattled SJs confidence on defense.
His foot was down when he let the ball go. Walked.
Btw, in yesterday's Providence Journal, a local sportswriter who doubles as an announcer for PC games claimed that Devin Carter is the BE player of the year!

The one to Chase in the corner was my favorite. He wasn't even moving his feet and threw that thing from the logo straight to the corner before Chase even got there. It was real impressive.

Was also directly on target so chase could just rhythm fire. Was unreal.
Has anybody ever seen Offset and Chase in the same room?
Just saying...
