I live close to where both of Marquette's 2024 recruits now play, so took a short drive to check them out in person last night. Lots of thoughts on them in here.

But while my scouting abilities are pretty much crap, got a really nice treat when we walked in and Marquette's head coach was in the building. My son is still buzzing.

Cool recap. Maybe Owens is the next great point guard at Marquette--at 6'9", the next Magic Johnson perhaps?

Nice!
On the Dodds board, Silver Warrior is the conductor of the Owens plays PG train. I hope he is that skilled and it translates to the Big East. It would be nice to have a Richmond type at MU. Or one of the long Xavier guards. Shaka praised both Owens and Parham's offense during his media availability today. He also said their defense lags.
My hope is that they are able to provide depth next year, giving glimpses of how good they will eventually be. I would be stunned if either starts.
I've mentioned this before, but I think Owens and Parham have the making of a very special class. Owens might be a monster.

I'm surprised Dodds' board isn't focused on the degrees of separation from Wojo.
