Short bench, many injuries. Come out playing possessed, and then Nova tries to bully ball you and force the refs to blow their whistles every possession. Got punched in the mouth. Could've let all that momentum going Nova's way snowball and get run out of the gym in tbe second half. But the reigning BEPOY shut everyone up. Great response.
Let's keep it rolling. And wouldn't hate having Nova rip off their next 5 games. They're definitely capable of it.
Assuming we can actually get healthy.
The injuries gonna help us. Guys playing different roles
Chase is a clear difference maker.
The last few have been much more reminiscent of last season. A great move in the right direction.

I am sure your Pops appreciated this win. Your thread title is spot on.
Huge win and definitely tested our mettle. TyKO with the best game of his career at MU in my opinion. Chase also played his best game of the year - huge contribution tonight.
Nova went full on bully ball and we managed to gut out a win, depsite some questionable double standard on the whistle.
We responded to adversity big time in this game. Great win!

He texted the family group he's getting too old for this. I told him I am too. The other MU grad brother said he's glad Kolek is on our team. Said he might not like him if he wasn't on our team. One of the Xavier grads said he doesn't like him 😂

You have watched this program up close and personal for 50 years, can they have a deep run in March?
I agreed with this analysis this morning. 😊

Gonna be a challenging game playing a desperate Nova team with possibly 3 of our top 8 out. I think this will be where the team's championship mettle comes out.

More like 65
Hell was at garden for 67 nit championship (think Walt Frazier) as an 8th grader
Been telling people my concern is we have a finesse front line in a brute force league
But lately Jop and Gold have shown some mettle (if you will)
We will make a run!!!

I was trying not to age you. Would have said sixty if I was being honest but trying to be a nice guy.
Love that you think we will make a run. I do as well.

Judge I was at the Garden in 67 also
Billy Hayes and I swore we would streak it if we won. Glad I didn't get to know if I would or not
You think you guys saw each other at the concessions?
You should have a 2024 reunion at FiServ.
That would be a 57 year reunion.
Beers on me
Good times gents. Good times. Road Warriors!
Obviously, I wish we had built on the 20-point lead and won by 40.
But winning this way probably will be more valuable going forward.
Welcome back, Mr. Ross!
When Shaka took over, the Finn was the toughest road conference venue in the country. Now he's 3-0 there. That is almost unfathomable.

Is that ain't proof that coaching is everything in ncaab I don't know what is.
Nova was always the hunted, Marquette the bloke doing the hunting.
Shaka comes, cops Tyler, Wright retires, and Marquette wins 6 consecutive, including 3 at the Finn

Brute Force, Pat smith, Luchini, Brunkhorst...
You should have hung with us—-would have met Cassius Clay/Ali—-told story before, he showed up at our practice between semis and finals and got embarrassed by Jackie Burke in a game of 1/1—
Not seeing you streak is only reason I'm glad we lost!!
I'll buy the beers
Let me know

Brunkhorst had the great picture of the Garden marquee in his bar. I regret not getting that when they sold the bar.
Jackie Burke was the man that year!!

Shaka said much the same to Homer after the Nova game.

Yeti perseveres.
