Jop
Could be Ben too?
I'd say Jop and Ben each had their best games at Marquette. Very impressive stuff from both, especially defensively.
Could easily go Oso again for SOTG, but I'd agree with Jop. But just a great all around team performance.
People make this thread way to early. Was gonna say jop but oso is going crazy so either one
If nothing else I would give Gold an honorable mention.
He made some big baskets when the team was struggling to score, and did a good job around the basket on defense when Oso was out. His contribution was essential.
Of course, when you're playing basically with six guys, everyone's contribution is essential.
Ben showed up big time today. Defense , rebounding and timely threes. Jop was outstanding but OSO showed that he is the man. SH really manhandled TK today but he showed the value of his game with his distribution

big dittos on this-exactly my sentiment as well!
Oso. He is just special. Enjoy him while he's here because we won't see his combination of skills in big man again.
Honorable mentions to Jop, Gold, Mitchell, and TyKo. Kolek had no points for most of the game but 11 assists. Jop and Gold both were huge on both ends of the floor. Also, Shaka for half time adjustments.
If you told me that Tyler and Kam would combine for only seven points but we'd blow out the opponent, I wouldn't believe it. This was a HUGE team win.
I was thinking Stevie Mitchell for a while, then Jop, but land on Oso again.
All five of the regular rotation guys were great today. TK starting to get a little too unnecessarily fancy with his passes, but other than that, nothing to really complain about today, particularly in the second half.
Great team effort and lots of players in discussion for star of the game but it is Oso. We looked lost at times when he was not on the court. He picks up his 3rd and goes to the bench. Hall starts to cut into the lead, and he is put right back in.
I thought Oso was outstanding. Stevie played great. Ben and Jop stepped up and both made a positive difference. Give it to Jop.

Certified knower of ball agrees
Jop has played very well the past handful of games. His effort on defense is noticeable and it has improved the team. Skip a couple of going nowhere dribble drives a game and he is a bigger impact player, imo.

Another certified knower of ball weighs in
In my 60 plus years of watching near the court, Tyler penetrating and lobbing the ball to OSO was the best ever. It should always be stars of the game.
Great team effort by all our stars of the game. Go MU!
The biggest takeaway from the game for me was Gold. Especially his defense. If he can play like that fairly consistently, throughout the BEast season, it's a mammoth feather in our cap. As Goose said last season, the young man has tremendous potential.
So many guys played so well. Stevie, Ben, and Jop all deserve special mention. Tyler essentially gets 11 assists before he scores a point. And it could have been 13 or 14 if a couple of bunnies had dropped. That is amazing. A great job by TK of just taking what was available and not forcing anything. But, in the end, Oso was the STOG.
