Big game tomorrow.
Need to beat Seton Hall to equal 500 with them during conference play.
KenPom has us as a 9 point favorite. I assume that is accounting for Richmond playing. If he doesn't I'd guess that bumps to 11 or 12.
Should be a great environment.

Went up 10 very early on them in Newark. Couldn't buy a 3 for a while.
Hit some open ones and get Tyler creating downhill and we should win by that 9+.

We have gone up 10 on plenty of teams, only to lose that lead. Don't box out and rebound and we will lose a close one.
To depend on this team to make their threes is a tall task.
Injury updates:
Chase - shoulder flew out of the effin socket
Sean - ACL ripped, had surgery
Kadary - "some soreness going on in his body" —- wtf?

'Some open ones' isn't much of an ask. Especially after going 15 for 32 or whatever it was on Wednesday. Also had a 6 for 9 half against Creighton.
This team can shoot against anyone. Just a mystery how it is so off sometimes. Make a decent portion of the open ones and I think we win running away on Saturday.

We've also been down 10 (or close to it) plenty of times and have had comebacks. Runs are normal in basketball.
We're going to smash them. I worry about this team when they don't have a good reason to motivate themselves. They've already lost to SHU, they are going to come out gunning.

There was something that was released not too long ago that showed Marquette was one of the best in the country at going on runs but not allowing them. https://twitter.com/EvanMiya/status/1748416953130353150?t=cBfPIEHNoGZ2XRf2W7pQ8g&s=19
Opening as a 9.5 point favorite tomorrow.
I would love nothing more than to smash them. We will see.
Has there been any updates on Richmond? Was he sick? Injured? Suspended?

SH boards seemed to think back injury. Unknown if it's related to the back injury he has last year. Current status seems to be unknown.
He's not " sore " ... obviously there's more to it.
Given the revenge factor... I think MU wins by 10 ish tomorrow
In the off chance there is ever an official reason given, my money will be on some version of...after landing awkwardly on his back while playing 51 minutes against Creighton, his back tightened up. Having missed time last season with back issues, SH decided to shut him down until his back loosened up.

If we attack like I've discussed all season we should have no issues whatsoever. Sometimes we think too much about these things. Those who attack, will not crack in these scenarios.

Do you forsee a lot of darkness for Hall tomorrow?
It is safe to say he would like to put out the Hall light.
Hopefully kadary is just a Hall monitor tomorrow

DARKNESS
:)
Want to win like everyone.. esp that I am going with a large crowd tomorrow.
However, can we avoid getting injured vs a team hell bent on injurying the other team?
Seton Hall sucks

Biggest game of the year today. Go Warriors! Eviscerate the Pirates with violence and passion.
Evil. Must be destroyed.
I know everyone is going to be crushed but I'm not gonna be able to post much in the game thread today. Hopefully someone accurately describes our pinpoint accuracy and destruction of the Hall.
Hopefully you are doing something that brings you joy.

This game should be the tell if MU has turned the corner this season. If they have it should be at least a 10 point win.

Duh! Then obviously we haven't turned the corner.
Based on Pomeroy's projections, MU's win percentage of 79% is the highest of any of the remaining 12 games except for the two against Georgetown and DePaul.
A loss today might not be quite as damaging as the Butler loss, but it would be in the same neighborhood.
The DePaul game exposed how vulnerable MU will be if they get into foul trouble. They were able to maintain a comfortable lead against the Demons with Jones and Joplin sitting more than planned because of foul problems. They might not be so lucky against a better team.

It's a game they should win if they are as good of a team as most think they are, including me. They simply don't lose this game if they have the talent to make a second weekend tournament appearance let alone a final four. At home in front of a sold out crowd. This should be a win. Hope the building is loud and the atmosphere helps propel this team from the jump. Should be a fun one!
I'm quite confident the atmosphere will be good.
Hopefully the players will respond to it in a positive way. Shaka made a comment after the Creighton game that the team was almost too juiced up and that led to a bad start. (I wonder if Dodds heard that comment because he seems to think that a jacked up team and crowd, especially on a Senior Night, is an unequivocal positive).
Now that they are down two players they have to be careful about not burning up too much fuel too quickly.
SRO crowd creates a difficult shooting background and we fail to connect on threes. Fml
Just saw Richmond didn't even make the trip to Milwaukee - something not good is going on there.
Protect the home court!! Road wins are tough to get. I don't care how many points we win by.
SH is the 7th best offensive rebounding team in the country.......they got 50% of their misses back against us in the last game.......we lost even though we dominated the turnover battle.

Brutal loss for the Hall.
UPDATE:
Kam Jones showed up to the arena in a walking boot after an ankle injury in practice.
He is out on the court trying to give it a go.
Per Benny Steele.

It appears that Kam is pretty hobbled. Rotation might be down to 7 or 7.5.
Kam is starting.
I've heard Dwyane Wade say multiple times throughout his career that he played better when he was sick because it slowed him down the perfect amount to focus. Maybe the same can be true for Kam. Maybe he'll bust out of his slump because the injury will cause him to slow down a bit.
Yeah.....Kam jogging very gingerly on it. Looks painful

Difference between being sick and not being able to move on a bum ankle/foot/knee/hip.

Must have missed something here, Richmond has been at SH for three years. Not like he just arrived.
Has he had any type of past issues at SH in those three years? He was some what disappointing in his first year, but has come on strong and is a candidate for BE POY. No one knows why he is not playing now.
What's the reason to avoid the portal in this case?
Did he write a letter?

Ya, but to be fair no one knew how bad it was until we saw him. Kolek had arguably his best game on the road at Illinois with a bum ankle.
Kam also didn't miss a shot today.
