Shaka teaches his guys to get up on a guy taking a 60 footer so close that it at least looks like a foul? I don't think so.

Buddy - he was running next to him like you're supposed to and then terry launched himself into Joplin.
Ben!

Buddy - stop it. Jop lunged at him and then moved away.

Joplin is by far the most boneheaded on the team
No SOTG when we don't cover against DePaul
Jop is top ten all time low IQ Marquette hoopers. Love the guy but my goodness...

Oso.
And Lenny for vehemently advocating a Steve Lappis position

THERE HE IS!!!!!!
Jop did absolutely nothing wrong on that play. Ref made a terrible call. Lappas blaming him for being near the ball is crazy. The ref is the only one who didn't do his job correctly.
Oso Igohodaro
Honorable Mention
Tyler Kolek
David Joplin
Oso - incredibly reliable tonight
Still trying to figure what Jop wants to do once he starts dribbling to the hoop, he has zero hops, no mid range, no real moves to the hoop. All I see is a turnover waiting to happen since he can not really pass either. Give him an open shot and he is pretty good, but his basketball IQ is just bad!

Steve Lappas won 280 D1 basketball games. He isn't my favorite, but he knows more about the game than you, me or panda.

Probably. But he's worse as a color commentator than any of you would be.

OSO!

OSO for SOTG
1st Honorable mention Tyler
2nd Honorable mention Jop
gotta go oso=best all around game
coulda been jolp but had to subtract points for stupid fouls and bad moves to the hoop
jop shouldn't have been in the same county as any shooter launching a 60 footer at the halftime buzzer with a 13 point lead
Oso. It was his show last night, he was unbelievable. His ability to handle the ball, pass, defend on the perimeter, it was all there.
Lappas is awful. Was it Providence last year, when he wanted them to go to a zone? He complained about it for multiple possessions.
Oso
Oso goes for 19/12/6 and you guys want to vote Jop.
Sure, the shots were big, but Oso had a game.
Oso moved up a couple of draft slots last night. 6'10 bringing the ball up and initiating offense.

Think others mentioned it at the time, but that move he made where he finished with the left hook was a thing of beauty. That was maybe worth a few draft spots in and of itself.

My favorite Oso was channeling Kolek, driving the baseline and one hand passing to the opposite corner to Ben. 6'10 to 6'10. That is some next level stuff that few other teams have.

I agree with this, and was surprised that the announcers didn't go back and highlight that pass. I wonder if there was a replay from that baseline. The pass was a thing of beauty, and I'l love to see how close it was to the baseline when it bounced. And, was there a bit of spin on it to get up and over to Gold's well-placed hands?

He spun it. The DePaul defender tried to kick it and missed because of the english he put on that pass.
It was an insane play. And exactly why that dude is gonna play in the league for a long time.
Oso
Oso
Honorable mention for Ben Gold with key 3 pointers when the offense seemed to be non-existent at stretches.
Demerits to Jop for the end of 1st half foul.
Oso. He was a beast!
Honorable Mention to Jolp. Don't penalize him for the bad end-of-the-half foul call, but Oso was really dominant last night.
