They are putting the shows on YouTube for anyone that is interested in watching these moving forward. I won't make a new topic every week, just thought I would share.
Something interesting from this weeks show, (and not something that I can ever recall Shaka saying about a Freshman here) is he guaranteed that Tre Norman will be an All Big East player at some point. He has a lot of confidence in Tre.

Yes....Listened to that live yesterday and couldn't believe what i heard.....and then Shaka said "mark my words".....so yes he certainly believes in Tre.

Is that that outlandish? To me that says he will be a batman or Robbin on an upper tier Marquette team. 10 all conference team players, a POY and an all big east honorable mention. last year we took 3 of those 12, UConn, X, & Creighton 2. so the top 4 teams account for 9/12 of the awards.
Essentially if you predict someone will be a "go to" guy as an upper class men, and MU will be a top 3 or 4 team then you're able to say "I guarantee he'll be an all conference player"
So who is the young lady? She would make a great color analyst for FS1 or CBSSN when televising the MU games at the FF.
Jen Lada? She's a Marquette grad who is on the ESPN morning show locally and does some national sideline reporting.

Yeah probably the most famous MU sports personality.
Also, she's not that young anymore... Unless you consider me young...

I am pretty sure Shaka said that Joplin will be the leading scorer in the Big East, so saying Tre will be a all Big East player you can take with a grain of salt, I do not think either will happen. Positive Jop will never be the leading scorer, maybe Tre can prove me wrong.

He also said Kam would make a run at the scoring title during his freshman year. Kams very very good at scoring and maybe could if it was still in the relatively achievable number that was Jerel's record.

He also said MU would be a much improved rebounding team.

Classic.
Coaches say lots of things. Shaka is a coach.
Like others here, I'm curious to see how good Tre can be. He's gonna get more PT than everybody expected, so hopefully he takes advantage of this opportunity and can use it as a springboard to great things in the years ahead. He sure looked good on that one twisting layup he made vs. Nova.

agreed ! (but any of your posts that Kolek is a NBA player are close)

We are both in our 40s. I'm old enough to be father to MU graduates, and so is she.
But yes, compared to you guys, I suppose most things seem young. :P

I mean, I'm just basing my Kolek comments off what NBA people are saying. The same people that were saying OMax was an NBA player before last season even started

I doubt Jen will father any MU grads in her life.

Add me to the "Kolek will play in the NBA" list.
I am not as sure that he will be drafted as I was about Omax. However, I think he plays in the league at some point.

He needs to shoot the ball much better to stick. He may get a chance will be limited at the next level as it stands now.

He'll never be a star at the next level and his window is short but his vision gives him a chance.

Yeah Ma and Jen are tight, aina?
I cannot wait for Tre Norman to be all Big East & Jop lead the conference in scoring. Also, Jen Lada is a great IG follow, always representing MU.

The comps to Deiner could very well carry on to the next level.

If he can't shoot, he has no vision thusly no shot at the nba.
