Outstanding win today. Nova punched us multiple times but we responded in a big way. The last 6 mins from Tyko were huge as well as the corner trifecta
And I have a message for the haters here: if you do not want to support our team and program there are plenty of other options than spewing your asinine nonsense here.
Much needed and it looked like Tyler got his swagger back at the end.

There definitely a good number of negative folks these days. I did not see the game, but judging by the stats it looked like MU played well. Did they play well?

Played great. Nova hit a ridiculous amount of contested distance shots. Defense really locked down the second half and the offense looked good all game.
Time to bring back the "next loss" threads.

Our bench scored 10 points and Lowery scored some clutch 3s to help us keep the lead in the first half.

It was a terrific performance Goose. Give Nova credit for making a number of contested J's. All in all I thought we played a complete game with great energy for 40 mins.

I just hope they can play like that on the road.

There's no question we can.
Good game by the Warriors. We needed that. Have to start making and defending 3s.

...but will we? I hope so I'll be there on Saturday cheering them on.

One of our best games of the season, Goose.
Guys
Thanks for the review. Reading the game thread, I thought it was a dud performance based off of a number of the posters. Glad to hear they played well.

Never read the game thread. Except maybe for comic relief.

Treat the game thread for what it is, the theatre of the absurd
Key for me was the first five out of half time. That has been an issue at times, and we absolutely laid the hammer down. The boys were connected, there were smiles, there were some strong coaching moments, lots of hugs. Big win, hopefully this togetherness, looseness, and smiles continue.

Also had the response when Nova tied it up with 6 minutes or so left on that Dixon 3.

Goose,
There were a few people that upset me in the game thread.
Learn to laugh at it, Muggsy.

Did a great job on Moore
Any time he tried his bully ball post up they doubled and very effectively rotated
Same with Dixon except for one (maybe 2) instances
Don't think Moore scored in 2nd half
Armstrong went off a bit late and they did hit lots of contested 3s
Liked the game plan
Big three came through
Hopefully Tyler out of his funk—great stat line
That was undoubtedly MU's best performance of the conference season so far.
Villanova is an experienced team with a lot of talent and muscle and MU hung with them even when they kept hitting the threes. The way Hausen and Armstrong were draining them from well behind the line I didn't feel comfortable until the last minute.
So, that's the bump for the Queen Mary. Now let's see if it can make the turn.
BTW, I usually complain about refs less than a lot of people because I try to accept them as part of the game who are doing the best they can at a difficult job. But it sure seems like these big strong guys who have had 10 years in college basketball gat away with a lot more bumping than the younger, slimmer guys.

Agreed with this on both players. There were a couple times in the second half they seemed to give up too early when the double came. It looked like if they had continued with their move they might have drawn contact and a foul. There were just so many good doubles leading up to it that they almost had PTSD.
Really really hoping that the Tyler towards the end of the game is the Tyler we see the rest of the year. I think it felt in the building like maybe he is back.

I agree...I said as much yo my daughter. When I saw Tyler jawing with Moore (I believe) I said this maybe the fire he needs.
He closed out the game after that.
