Looked like Oso early, then Kam for most of the game, but Kolek closed it out. Great game for all of our big 3.
Big 3
Tough pick. Great team effort.
Kolek, Jones, Mitchell, and Oso are all deserving. Mitchell's D was huge.
Zaide Lowery!
Tyler
I was thinking Kolek was struggling a bit, kind of quite, started 0-4 from 3 with some bad misses. Then I looked as he was at the line at the end....
21/5/11 and 2 steals with only 2 TOs. What a gem of a second half. Kid is just a GAMER

I agree with this. Draw a name out of a hat.
Trifecta KOK
All 3 of the studs were great today
But Kam was the difference. We got the mojo back instantly when he checked back in.
Hard to pick one guy. But overall, Kam for his scoring. Oso & Tyler had good games, too.

Has to be TK - was making a big impact even when he wasn't scoring in the first half - and that 3 at the end was both a dagger and hopefully gets his head right with his shot going forward.
Plus, if 21-11-5-2 isn't a STUD stat line I don't know what is.
Obviously Oso and Kam massive too - and Zaide clearly the spark of the game
I'll go with Tyler but any of the big 3 are a good choice. All 3 had excellent all-around games. Combined for 20 assists.
Shout out to Zaide for those 3s. Very calm release. That's gotta boost his confidence a bit.
A lotta high points. Steveie's D, Ben's D (!), Oso, Kam, Zaide when we needed him.
STOG is TyKo.
Zaide Lowery. We lose without those two threes.
SOTG is Olivia, who cancelled the client visit which allowed me to watch on the FoxSports app.
Or Kolek. One of the two.
Game was tied with 9:08 left. Then Kolek took over. 15 points, 4 assists in the final 9. Oso and Kam were great too.

Need Tyler to play at a 60/16 pace the rest of the season. :D
After ruminating I think Tyler
Honorable mention to Olivia
Has to be Kolek. 11 assists. Hope he will get his confidence back from 3 point.
Honorable mention: Stevie and that insane defense.
3rd Stud: TyKo was back to what Marquette needs him to be, Tyler the creator. It's natural to him, and he fed Oso with like 4 easy dunks and set up a lot of easy buckets, and that's when this team is the best.
He's still 3rd imo though because he was "off" in the other aspects of his game.
2nd stud: Kam on 10/12, 2/4 from 3, 22, 6 boards and 4 assists and was present and big all game, good for honorable mention.
Oso is your stud of the game.
One of his best games of the season and MU career imo.
18&7 on 9/11 and 5 assists, 3 steals to boot.
Many of his buckets were of the dunk variety on beautiful dishes from our All American distributor, but the important part is that he was in the right place at the right time ALL GAME, and was fully in tune with Tyler.
The pick and pop to the basket was magical.
His vision was incredible and he played with an incredible edge, an intense look in his eye, and the passion of a warrior.
He was also excellent defensively and tough on the glass, active with his hands to lead the team in steals with Stevie.
Marquette dominated the paint and was elite in their number of assists to made baskets and all three guys played a huge part. Keep it up dudes.
I think it might be TK, but he was pretty poor for 20 minutes.
I'd go Kam. 22/6/4 on 83% shooting.
Oso was the best player on the floor in the first half and really looked good on O, D and the boards all game. 18 pts, 7 reb, 5 assists, 3 steals. Kam went inside at will and hit a couple 3s. 22-6-4.
But Kolek not only had a great statistical line, 21-5-11, he absolutely took over the game down the stretch. Just a dominant last 10 minutes after Nova tied it at 57. He didn't play poorly in the first half, either, he just shot really poorly from 3; his passing contributed greatly to Oso's scoring.

I disagree on the first half. Couple of rushed, weird decisions from him too. Going at a taller, athletic defender and airballing a fast break layup stands out.
But maybe I'm viewing his performance through a lens of high expectations.
Very tough. The big three were all terrific today. But have to go with TyKo
Great job by Shaka for getting this team refocused despite being down two key reserves. Got us away from launching contested threes and back to attacking at the rim.
Top 3 all came to play but I'd have to go with Kolek. Nod to Stevie for great defense and a huge 3 when we needed it.
Kolek.
Could go many ways but Kam gets my vote today. Really helped keep MU in the game while Villanova was hot from three in the first half.
What a game. I really want to go with Stevie as he fits my MO as it relates to the SOTG. However, I'm going with Tyler. He wasn't perfect, but man he made a lot of good plays, I saw a little of that spark again, saw some accountability, and saw some happiness. Well done, Tyler.

He slipped on the layup attempt and lost control of the ball.
5 assists, including some beauties to Oso; 2 steals; 6 points, including the huge layup at the buzzer; only 1 turnover; solid floor game, with the ball in his hands almost the entire half. He fired a couple real ugly 3s, but he otherwise wasn't anywhere close to "bad." And then he absolutely dominated the final 10 minutes of what had been a tie game.
TKs 3 pt shot looked bad
But the narrative that he didnt play well in the 1st half is wild
Kolek. Not that I would object to Kam or Oso winning SOTG. All three were worthy.
Let's not take for granted how much of a better point guard Tyler is because of a guy like Oso.
His ability to pick and roll/crash to the hoop and always be in the right position, as well as giving Tyler the space he needs to make the right pass and being on the same page, helped TyKo get half of his assists today.
Tyler is a maestro, but Oso is elite at what he does too.
If you're saying "sure, but anyone can dunk!"
Don't forget that one guy already transferred, another plays 0 minutes, Ben hasn't had one such play with a dish from TyKo etc etc.
A pg like Tyler needs a big like Oso, and I'd argue that Oso helped Tyler get back in the type of groove he needs to be in in a big way today.

Oh and TKO for stud of the game
Any of the big three are worthy choices, but I'd lean towards Kam. 8-8 from 2pt range, boards, assists, etc.
But you have to love what Stevie does for this team.
Tyler
Kam

Oso is awesome. I think I've picked him for SoG more than any other player. He makes Kolek better for sure ... and vice versa.
Oso and Kolek are both irreplaceable players for us.

Probably just a case of high expectations for him and my eye test failing me.
I thought Kam was great when others couldn't get a ton going.
Has to be Kolek. 11 assists with that scoring.
Honorable Mention to Zaide Lowery for scoring 6 straight when we were down by 6 to tie it. But as Shaka called them according to the Television announcer the Big 3 for SOTG.

My feeling exactly. I'd go Kam, but Oso and TK also great choices.
Jones
I'd lean Kolek for the overall game. Hopefully hitting that late three will grow that confidence going forward, we need that version of Tyler starting Saturday.
As others have said, Oso and Kam were also excellent, wouldn't begrudge either pick, but the 21/11/5 with just 2 turnovers, you really can't play much better than that.

Kam Jones
Oso Ighodaro
TKO, and MU needs a few more games like that where he closes out the win.

OSO (or) K1
Jolp, Cam, or Zaide and Lowery would be ok for me
We gonna get this one up before Saturday?

Looking at the stat line under the (finally posted) pic of TK, I'm encouraged by the fact that he played his best basketball at the end of a 38-minute run. He had the legs to hit a big 3, make the clinching FTs, and flawlessly run our offense.
We need him not only to play more minutes now, but also to be great at the end of games. This showed he's up for the challenge.
First time this year the mods picked wrong. Hopefully they get back on track after tomorrow.
