Title: What's the status of DJ's wrist?
Post by: Avenue Commons on February 23, 2008, 10:25:10 AM
DJ's improved play of late leads me to believe that his wrist is doing much better. However, as recently as the Notre Dame game it seemed like his wrist was still causing him problems. Has anyone heard how his wrist is doing? I hope his wrist, and his play, continues to improve. I want to see that kid succeed and its unfortunate that injuries have plagued him.

Speaking of Notre Dame, Jay Bilas was on ESPN radio this morning and he was asked which teams outside of the top 15 could make a run at a national championship and he said Xavier and Notre Dame. It's too bad we didn't get that win at the Joyce Center. That would have been a HUGE road win.

Crazy to think what might have been.

We'd be 10-4 heading into this afternoon with a pretty easy schedule down the stretch and a chance to take down GTown at home.

The standings would look like this
Gtown: 11-3
Ville: 11-3
UConn: 10-3
Marquette: 10-4
ND: 9-4

We could be legitimately talking about a chance to win at least a share of the league had we pulled that one off.

Ahh dont worry about it, league title doesnt mean anything come tournament time. Yes, it would be nice to have but the way this team is playing now, clicking on all cylinders and with the redshirt playing pretty good last game, i say we are atleast  a sweet sixteen team. I would rather have that then a one and done burnt out team from the regular season

Notre Dame could win the Championship so long as they allow all 6 games to be played in South Bend.

This team still looks a little skittish away from home and not sure they can take down "elite" competition back-to-back as they will have to in the NCAAs.
