If Die Hard as a Christmas movie can be so endlessly debated, why not Lethal Weapon? Both take place in LA at Christmas time. Both heroes go through their challenges to either be reunited with family or be accepted into a new one, thereby embracing the meaning of Christmas. Just sayin'.
And what about Die Hard 2? Also takes place at Christmas.

As a veteran of the War on Christmas, they can be Christmas movies as long as only white people perform The Nutcracker
It is the season for silly debates about Christmas.

Watching Die Hard 2 this weekend, planes were circling Dulles almost running out of fuel, are we to believe that DCA and BWI both around 10-30 miles away wouldn't allow them to land?!? Heck, go north to Philly or NYC to get in front of the weather.
Agreed. Big plot hole.

Almost as big, again are we to believe when McLain fires off 50 blanks from a submachine gun in the middle of the airport police station, surrounded by cops with their guns drawn, NONE of them shoot him?!?!

Maybe the Israeli war is a Christmas war.
Oops, wait....
Not sure this has ever been in doubt. Of course Lethal Weapon is a Christmas movie.
This was a topic of discussion at our family gathering yesterday. Concensus was yes. Then my brother brought up The Long Kiss Goodnight. There were a couple oooooohs but more than a few what's? from the nieces and nephews. TLKG could certainly fall in this category.
