1. ND was so far over their head. Almost not fun.
2. Oh, wait, hell yes, it was fun.
3. MU's pressure defense against an inexperienced slow tempo team. Phenomenal.
4. Oso and TKo are pretty good.
5. I thought Chase, Tre, and Zaide were mostly guys. I thought Sean showed some dude. They will all get better.
6. Kam dunked! Second time?
7. Oso shot a 3! He looked guilty as it went up.
8. Not realistic to expect that ND wouldn't cut into the lead at some point. Easy to lose focus up 30.
9. Would have been nice to win by 50. Ah, well. The game finished with the walk ons playing. That is a nice start.
Even if MU didn't cover.
Loss didn't cover.
Way to go walk-ons...
MU didn't cover their 80.5 total either.
Fire everyone.
Excellent focus on both ends of the floor right out of the gates. Did not play with our food.
I'm ready for Big East play.

Went up 21-2 and let Notre Dame play even the rest of the way. Not a good look at all. Good teams win, great teams cover. Billy Packer was right

You know it Uncle. That Rocket soft serve is delicious!
The walk ons had ND +21.5.
Didn't cover and Badger loss was a bad loss.

Rocket would fire Shaka faster than a receptionist that shaves her head
Mismatch from the get-go. Wish we'd really pasted 'em, but I'll go with this.
Why is Baylor ranked #6?
10. Oso was 8-8 free throws

Definitely not a dunk. Difficult to keep the killer instinct when the other team is no bueno. Shocked that a proud D1 institution such as Notre Dame is as poor as they are, shocked.

Shaka said in his radio postgame he told the team ND is them two years ago. I think he's being very generous. ND is in a much bigger hole to dig out of then we were two years ago. Talent is really lacking.

That is very generous. FND is not a competitive D1 program
Shaka subbed early and often. It seemed like Sean Jones had more playing time than Tyler Kolek. MU forced ND into 3 shot clock violations in their first 6 possessions. MU could have dominated all night but Shaka gave the bench guys a ton of time tonight.

It was a retro dunk of CBB 70s. Very Butch Lee-ish. Place ball directly above rim and simply drop it in like a potato in a grocery bag. Kind of classy imho. Smile on Kam's face told the story.

Maybe my imagination based on the results, but I thought his form looked a little different. Previously it seemed he was chucking it at the rim with speed like he thought someone might block it otherwise. Looked a lot softer last night, I thought.
Great game! Gave me bragging rights over my sister for another year.

He still seems to be using that shot put push technique but he was much more consistent last night. It still looks like an awkward form to me but what do I know? If he makes maybe 60% of his shots over the season hopefully we can avoid a Hack-an-Oso at the end of games.
Oso's FT% starts now as far as I'm concerned. It won't matter that he was at 50% for a month if he shoots 75-80% from here.
He shot 74% as a sophomore, he made some huge FTs last season, and he just went a smooth 8-for-8. The ability is there (the Scooper said, hopefully).
As the shutout continued, I flashed back to Mike Deane and wondered if Shaka threatened to sit the first person to give up a basket.
Sorry if this was addressed in another thread, but is this the biggest margin of victory in MU-ND history? Or at least in modern times?
Does anyone ever remember walk-ons getting into the game in one?

There was a Friday night game in the Mike Deane era where we beat them badly. Definitely over 20. Can't remember the year
we were very generous in our game plan...like kam shooting three's left handed behind his back
man did brey leave them a steaming pile

January 12, 2008. MU 92- ND 66. One of my hills is that MU got screwed that year by the BE schedule. Beat ND twice, they were seeded 5th and us 6th in the NCAAs. They got to play Wazzu, MU played Stanford.

Homer on the post game said there was a game with a larger victory margin but never a game where MU boat-raced ND like last night.
Fox posted a graphic with the largest margins. I think it was ND by 39 back in the 50's. The aforementioned 2008 game was MU's largest margin of victory.
For some reason, my Fitbit thinks I swam for 42 minutes while I was at the game last night. It must have been from all the fist pumping and high fiving.

Felt like Marquette got beat by a million in that 2013 big East tournament game. But apparently they only lost by 8
I do wonder if Marquette (or ND for that matter) ever went into one of these games as a 20-point favorite.
