St. Anthony's playing American Christian on ESPN right now. Taylor #15. Should be some good video of him. TT, if you haven't already, record this and get some vids of him up here! lol
AWESOME BLOCK
Fountain is trying to show off for ESPN.
wow......nice move to open the scoring, then he blocks a shot in transition.
Watch Dominic Cheek. He is a junior and man would he be nice to have.
Dear Tyshawn,
Please make sure you bring friends from home out to Milwaukee to visit next year. Specifically, Dominic Cheek. Make him come here a lot. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Marquette
First pts of the game and a pretty sweet block on D already. Cheek also playing for St. Anthony's...possible '09 recruit.

Does he have any lists yet?
Cheek is having a great time. Just had a break away fast break... 17 in the 1st half with 4:44 left
Wow
I think Cheek is now on the list of every team in the nation...
idk but I would LOVE it if Taylor talked him into joining up at MU. Would replace Matthews nicely

Pretty sure when you are a top 10 recruit and lock to be a McDonald's All American you're already on the list of every team in the country.
Cheek has 20 points at halftime. He looks more like a UNC kid to me. There's not a chance in hell he comes here.

UNC was the leader at one point but they may be taking themselves out of it. They already have commitments from three Point Guards and a Shooting Guard for 2008, 2009 and 2010 and he has sort of dropped from view. According to an article from Scout last week:
QuoteEarly in the season, there was a window where North Carolina seemed on the verge of a pledge. Since, the Tar Heels have received other commitments. "I guess North Carolina wanted me to commit as soon as I went on the visit but I wasn't ready to commit right then." While Cheek isn't dismissing UNC completely, it seems the courtship has lost steam.

Hasn't done much tonight that'd make good videos.
Hah of course as I say that he has a pretty darn nice finish. Hopefully he can make a couple more nice plays before it's over.
There aren't enough shots, nor are there enough baskets on the court, for all of the talent on that St. Anthony's team. Looks like a bunch of those guys would carry any other high school program to greatness -- here, they're all role players, and excelling.
I'm thrilled to see what Taylor can do at MU next year (looks like a McNeal clone from the minutes I saw him play), especially given the fact that we play the same type of game as the Friars.
Cheek would def. look good in blue and gold

But thats what makes it so great, all these guys are college basketball ready....will be an easy adjustment for Taylor because of his experience playing with such talent. The only issue is, doesn't seem like he has a 3 point shot.
I wish we would have gotten a chance to see Taylor shoot more last night but I really think that he was forced in to a role of either pass or slash to the basket. I was very impressed with his ability to do both even though he looked to be playing the two instead of the point guard. As others mentioned his defensive skills were also impressive.
One other point - there did not seem to be as big of a difference in the skill level of Taylor to Rosario etc. as the ESPN "rankings" would suggest. In fact after last night, I would suggest that taylor has greater potential to deveolp into a great college plasyer because of his physical attributes.
Don't be surprised if Cheek ends up at Villanova.
