Great job guys, take a day off in Hawaii and enjoy life and get some well deserved rest.
However, on the plane ride home think, talk, and dream about about beating Wisconsin the whole 8+ hours.
Coaches are evaluated not only on how many wins they get, but also by how they perform against their key rivals.
Having said this, we cannot claim to be one of the best teams in the country but then turn around and lose to our in-state rival.
Wisconsin right now is mediocre, however still dangerous on their home court. I expect them to come out like last year playing a little loose with nothing to lose as the underdog while making some crazy early shots they normally don't make. Had we won today and been ranked #1 going into this game, then the stakes would have been sky-high with the local media pumping the game up and their students ready to storm the court if they got the upset.
#1 or top 5, they will still love to beat us again and provide their alumni another year of snickering and eye rolling around us.
No excuses! It's time to for Shaka and the boys to finally beat Wisconsin! Better yet, let's show up like a boss and handily beat them with a statement win! 🕺
If we're going to finally break through with a long dance this March, then its time to prove we can handle the pressure of March by first dealing with the pressure of the Madison rivalry.
Go Marquette!

Shaka can't beat Big Ten teams
What is the point of your schtickt?
Oh we're just going to overlook Southern now huh.

Trying to beat Chico's record for posts in a month. Close to 600 now, he's got a shot at 1000 if he can avoid the family and stay on the computer through the Holiday.

this game stresses me out. I'm stressed. (But I don't see any position, including the coach, where RED has an advantage on us)
They aren't looking past Southern. Shaka hasn't made a real big deal about beating UW while he's been here. He just wants to beat whoever is next. That's Southern.
Looking forward to getting out to an early lead to get Tre and Zaide some run and get some of our starters off their feet. This week will be tough to physically recover from.

Go MarquetStrange glove.
Screw the Badgers
Would be a nice early Christmas stocking stuffer if Marquette beats Madison.
I think the combo of Kolek and the rest of the team wanting revenge for last year's embarrassment on our home court and the need to beat up on a major team to vent their frustration from the Purdue game = a W in Madison.
I really do hate the Badgers and want MU to bury them, but no more than I hope they bury Texas, ND and the BE teams. This year, MU is on a very long business trip, and it is all about getting the job done. I am very thankful that MU has already played four games that have more meaning than the Badger game if looking at the big picture of the season. The remaining 25 games are resume builders and a win in Madison likely is not going to make or break their resume come March.
All of that said, I do hope we blow them out of the gym. I hope the walk-ons are playing and I need one of them to drain a three to cover the over. When you think about it MU already has won the state of WI. There is no debate on which team is better, which program is better and which team has the better coach. MU has won those battles. In addition, I always cared about winning the in state recruiting battles and at the moment that means little to me. If any high school player, anywhere in the country, would choose UW over MU, they are not a serious basketball player.

Boom!
Next game is vs Southern. All focus for now is on the Jaguars.

Guess it depends on your definition of serious.....plenty of 7' traditional stiffs from Minneapolis who have Bucky on their short list.

Well said Goose. I hope the Warriors crush Wisconsin by 20 or more points.

Was just talking with a friend about the UW game and I said, IF there is a Badger fan that knows ball and is fan of the sport, there is only one reason why they would want to attend the MU game, to see MU play in person.
Over the years there have been opponents come to MKE that I wanted to see play in person, UCLA and Baylor come to mind.

being a Badger fan is admitting to being abnormal. Most don't know ball, are delusional...and definitely insufferable dolts.
