Small samples. Variances. Shooters. Rims. Travel. There are a ton of reasons to why the 8 Maui teams have combined to shoot 26% from 3, but after going through every MU 3 taken, I think the NBA line is easily the culprit.

Example after example of players taking shots from distances they would never normally do so.

Think it is more the great teams playing tough D than the arc. The bigger issue I saw with the floor is that the sideline ads bleed into the out of bounds lines. Saw a number of players stepping out and not seeing a white space separator. The Zags had issues yesterday.
In fact, I think Kam got away with one yesterday on his break out that confused the refs. The Mad Leprechaun was right there and was jumping mad.
I have to agree, the black NBA 3-pt line has greater contrast with the floor and hence, that is naturally what your eye would be attracted to. I might tell the players, don't worry about stepping over the black 3-pt line when shooting.
Why is there an NBA line in the first place?
Watching the Purdue/TN game right now. This is absolutely impacting the shooting. Purdue is shooting everything behind the NBA line.

Why is there an NBA line in the first place?
Opportunity for hopefuls to showcase themselves. No problem with it.
