Scoop will definitely have a presence on Oahu, but just how big?
I should be there tomorrow afternoon. Planning to attend the Luau and receptions as well. Hoping to not work too much over the next week, but mostly hoping for 3 big wins.
Any additional tips/insights/recommendations are welcome.

Solid list. And if you pick just one off of it make it Hau Tree for breakfast. Outstanding food and view.

Looks to be about 1.5 miles from where I'm
staying. Would walking down by the water all the way provide nice views / easy pathway to get there? That might be the move. Casual late morning stroll over there... looks like brunch goes to 1:30

Yes, nice views. Highly recommended reservations, especially for two by the water. They tend toward large parties.
Also near pickleball courts.

For those of you with Spotify that are going, be sure to check out some Hawaiian music.
The king is of course, Isreal Kamakawiwoʻole, aka IZ. https://open.spotify.com/artist/4ogvuDRerGhZfSf7TtzHlr . Was fortunate enough to see him perform at the 100th anniversary of the overthrow of the monarchy. We were given lots of side eye being haole in an almost exclusive Hawaiian crowd.
But other solid choices include the Hawaiian Style Band, a Hawaiian super group in the 90s. https://open.spotify.com/artist/21VYTjwMCw1Lvm1nGj2kZm . Living in Sovereign Land is one of the songs we heard IZ sing. https://open.spotify.com/track/7u1RXywUJhZcMIlfgc55XK
This isn't a bad traditional Hawaiian music play list. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6Ts5HajHGTQt19HHG2iDcP Good background drinking music.
Hey, for those attending, post pictures!

For those of us not fortunate enough to make it Honolulu, very bummed to learn that Bill Walton will be announcing the game on ESPN2. He's the only guy that has the ability to destroy a good BBall game.

Arrived today with the Purdue basketball team on UA 219 from Chicago. Was shocked to see Zack Edey heading to Economy...but fortunately for him he got the first row in a section...now way he fits if someone was in front of him. His head almost touched the ceiling in baggage claim. :o

I don't mind Walton because he likes MU. He named his son after Maurice Lucas.

Going to have to. Everyone else in the house will be asleep.
So, how big of an MU contingent will be at the game. The seats behind each team for the Syracuse/Tenn game are all full, however the center court section has empty seats. I am sure a 9:30am start is not going to draw many locals on Monday morning.

Purdue and Gonzaga contingents look really big. I'd expect Marquette and Kansas to be large as well.
I think the SOTG should go to the very vocal Marquette contingent. The crowd was tremendous. Especially when they were getting on Cronin.

Oh year. Marquette crowd was clearly the winner out there. Louder, more passionate when needed, D Wade active and completely into it.
Special, and it definitely made a difference.
Be The Difference.
I loved seeing Wade's reactions, and then dapping up the team as they headed to the locker room. To have a Hall of Famer in your corner like that has to make the guys feel good.
This team can play so much better but still won two rock fights, against good teams, away from Fiserv. For a team that plays with a lot of finesse I'm encouraged by that.

They would show a shot of the crowd on tv and my family would berate me, "Why aren't we there!?!"
