Are thoughts & prayers allowed??
Why not?
Had a hurricane once at Pat O'Briens in NOLA. Pretty much knocked me on my ass, hey?

They're very effective in ridding ourselves of mass murders here. Let's give them a shot on hurricanes! If they're just as effective, we can turn global warning around by praying to god and Roqqquet can keep his gas oven!

Why bother? God sent the hurricane to punish America for going woke.
Indications today are that it will push west and miss Tampa/St Pete with most of its fury, which is a relief. Northwest Florida is gonna get hammered but a major metro won't have to evacuate thankfully
Be safe everyone... this could easily become a real mf by the time it hits land.

Thanks, tower. Looks like most of the Carolinas will be spared the worst of it, though there probably will be some flooding and maybe wind damage in some parts.

Sure. they don't do anybody any good (except to make you feel like you actually did something) but knock yourself out.

Yep, got a text from my mom whose Punta Gorda home still is without a complete roof from the last hurricane that she was no longer heading inland but staying in their camper parked next to the house. A relief for them, hopefully it will move on as a tropical storm and cause minimal disturbance.

Only 1? Two or three of those are required for entry to Bourbon street during Mardi Gras I thought? Although I think they allow you to mix and match in Hand Grenades.

Hurricanes and hand grenades? Are you still in high school?
Stop by the bar at the Roosevelt and have a Sazarac or stop in at the Monteleone bar and get a Vieux Carré.
I thought this thread was about this:

Somewhere I think I still have an "I survived Hurricane Iniki" t-shirt from my time in Hawaii. Another brutal I hurricane.

I think that letting people know that they're in your thoughts and prayers when they're going through a difficult time does them some good.
