Congrats to TKo. I have little doubt this thread will devolve to ESPN bashing and Vitale bashing. Missing the point that TKo and MU are getting ❤️.
With his age and health, this could be the last one of these Vitale does. Something to tell the grandkids about.

Great news for Tyler and MU.
My guess is he will be on most if not all preseason AA teams........well deserved
Always good to have have this kind of pub. Congrats to Tyler. Tower thanks for the post.
Between this, CBS having MU at #6, the Hamilton signing, and the scrimmage, this has been an unexpectedly good week for MU hoops.

She was supposed to buy your shorty TyKo with your money
She went to the doctor, got lipo with your money
She walkin' around lookin' like Michael with your money
Shoulda got that insured, Geico for your money (money)
When I first started calling Tyler TyKo in my mind and out loud this is the song that came to mind.
It still does.
Wouldn't have expected that dude to become BEPoY, but here we are.
NPoY you're next?!?
Paint Touches has a good article maybe a couple months back now Re: returning All Americans and how they fare the following year.
You'd be an outlier to not have Tyler on your preseason AA list.
(Although I think his #'s may regress a little this year)

I wonder if they might actually improve relative to the full season, at least in terms of scoring. He averaged 9.0 ppg in November and December, then 15.8 ppg after the New Year. He did that with relatively flat assist and usage rates but improved eFG% and improved TO rate, making him more efficient overall.
He might step back from his conference-only play, but even if he does we could very well see a better player than we saw for the full 2022-23.

To be clear, per game stats aren't something I look at / am speaking on. Definitely could see him scoring more this season.
I think his ORtg was over 125 in Conf play. Just ridiculous. I project his ORtg to drop some this year.

Hopefully his block % goes up.
Somebody had to say it.

He's a 6'3" PG... who had the same blk% as a 6'8" defensive guy. A repeat would be just fine.

Right, but his overall ORtg was 118, and per Torvik he was at 113.5 through December. His ORtg could drop from that 125 in conference play to 120 overall for the season and he would still be better and more productive than last year. I also think he could see an assist rate improvement because part of what hurt his assist rate last year was missed open threes. That should happen a bit less frequently if we see shooting improvement from Chase, Stevie, and Gold as well as Joplin taking more of the shots that O-Max was less reliable to make last year.
I feel like kam should get up over 40 this year, only 36% last.

I project his ORtg to be lower than this past year and will make a wager on it.

Disney is expected to lose @1 billion on their summer releases this year. That is very inclusive. More ass canning at ESPN?

You seriously think their financial performance has anything to do with their inclusivity policies?
Oh and "woke."
LOL.

Congrats to Kolek. This great recognition and it's good for the athlete and Marquette.
Kudos to the knowledgable staffer who put in the effort and typed Dickie V's name in the byline.
